How about a relic weapon mount?

Similar to the Amaro mount, but for finishing all relic weapons.

The mount could look like the iron throne...

ok the general idea is amazing (idk how it would look like if everything was glowing but it's a great idea still) - would certainly motivate more ppl to do them. I'm all for it. The Amaro was a really lame as a reward for leveling EVERYTHING

I stopped at 6 relics for 5.X and I really don't want relics for classes I don't even normally play (outside of leveling during new expansion).

Though if they did something like this I'd rather it be something like a chocobo drawn weapon armoire or such where you can see the relics in the armoire to show off the glowing collection

That's, like, your opinion, man. I thought the amaro mount was a very good reward considering that the expansions before you got only titles to show for it.

On op's topic a mount would be cool but I wouldn't mind it just being a title. Could be one for each set (one for ARR, one for HW, etc) then maybe if you get them all you get the cool mount.

If they're gonna try and use a reward to compel us to get the fancy weapons for all 17 battle classes, I think Endwalker might be to time what with the extra weapon slots in the armory giving us more room to hold them all.

Speaking of it glowing.. what if you got the mount with your first relic and it had all the relics on the mount and they started glowing when you finished more relics

I would never grind for all the weapons...

... unless I had a cool mount as an incentive.

The issue I had with the amaro mount was more that, as the basic common flying mount used on the First, it felt like it should have probably been easier to get, or even an msq mount like we've gotten in prior expansions. (Makitek reaper, midgar, mana cutter, yol). With maybe something more special and unique, or even an armored or otherwise interesting variant of an amaro, for the level all jobs achievement.

As for relics, no reward is going to be good enough to motivate me to do all that grinding for more relics.

I think it makes it more special that’s the only way to get an Amaro. I’m grinding through the remaining jobs mainly for the Amaro. If I already had one would I still do it just for one with a hat or some armour? Not sure.

I agree with the second part though.

When I read the title I actually thought you meant a relic like activity for a mount, such as the mount upgrades overtime - one may sort of think of the tank mounts (and how they evolve over the course of achievements). I thought that could be kind of cool.

A mount for obtaining every relic is a bit intense. . . though I suppose it would probably make it fairly special, given that even if it's an old relic not too many people would have it.

I think having Seto (huge Amaro), or Flammie (basically an elongated super colorful Amaro), would have been an amazing reward. I felt a general Amaro was a bit underwhelming all things considered to get it, buuuuut in a void, the mount itself is pretty cool (definitely one to earn cause it's neat, I just didn't feel it was... .. flamboyant? enough to consider it for what it was). Certainly, imo, nothing that was upsetting.. it was just more of an "oh.. okay I guess", moment for me. I thought Amaro would have been the freebie mount, given that it was the generic mode of transportation for that expansion.

they probably decided against it for some odd reason. the dulia-chai minion description text sounds like it was intended to be a MSQ reward rather than a bonus from buying the artbook.
