Just curious as to why, yet I see someone like Titanmen allowed to use multiple accounts and create equally, if not more controversial forum thread topics on a daily basis. :/

Just curious as to why, yet I see someone like Titanmen allowed to use multiple accounts and create equally, if not more controversial forum thread topics on a daily basis. :/
Wow. Why indeed? It wasn't even getting violent. Sorry for your loss. I had some good posts in it. T-T
I thought that the thread itself was perfect civil. Any posts considered to be inappropriate could have been dealt with individually.
If threads referring to political or social issues are not allowed, however, then I think that the rule should be enforced fairly across the board rather than only in situations where there is backlash against those self-same issues.
Not sure which one is/was yours but I have been reporting a lot of them. Any that's naming characters on worlds and essentially setting up for harassment is a violation of forum rules and also the game's TOS. So if your missing post essentially did that, then I guess that's your answer. Otherwise, no clue without knowing what it was.
But I doubt it was one of my reports, as quite a few are still up. Just figured I'd give a very blunt answer as I'm looking through things now, lol.
If it was the one about ff7r, because it's off topic.
General discussion is for discussion about XIV, not other ff related or completely unrelated topics. That one had nothing to do with XIV.
Yeah, most likely. Might have been a topic best discussed in the off topic discussion thread that already exists.

The mods clearly don't mind having this one around.
I'm more surprised about how quick it was taken down, considering the content of some threads. Such as very recently, but I won't get into that.
Checking my post history I have a pretty good idea which thread it was.
I forget the exact title but people turned 2 pages into politics, completely civil but now we know that SE does not want to see any form of discussion about politics on their forums.
Makes sense considering their branding.
The thread made by a player in search of a Free Company was also removed.
Yeah. Not to sound like I’m advertising it or anything, but it’s there for this exact reason - coralling content that may or may not exactly be related to XIV, into one space to avoid cluttering the front page with off-topic stuff, or derailing other threads with off-topic stuff.
it's a bit of a joke that that thread was removed but a plethora of pure bait and non-xiv related threads made by titanmen and copycat trolls aren't dealt with the same kind of response or urgency, tbh
Oh definitely. Seems like - and this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, purely a PR move - but it seems like threads with distinct political leanings are removed far more swiftly than other threads.
Though the one recent one with horrible ill-wishes towards the devs, I feel, was left up just for the community to dig its teeth in before they removed it. Mods are humans too, and sometimes humans can be vindictive as HECK.
For the sake of fairness, I'd prefer a blanket ban across the board on any complicated social or political issue as I do not believe that online games are a suitable platform for activism. After all by their very nature, any global game is going to attract players from all over the world from a great many different cultures, belief systems, backgrounds and countries.
Seems like the mods have a bias towards certain things. Guess they can’t handle some people’s opinions and instead decide to use their power to halt any form of debate. It’s pretty prevalent seeing as to how they handle other threads. Lots of off topic threads here lmao.
I didn’t even mention anything political, you put words in my mouth now...again. You seem to like doing that. I’ve seen plenty of off topic threads not get nuked very fast so it just rings as a bit curious. No reason to get your knickers in a twist over my opinion though :D
Um...it seems like you read it that way? I can’t change what little reading or how functional your mind is. Not my problem if you did that. Maybe don’t assume things like you always do, seems to be a reoccurring problem. Read a bit s l o w e r. :) It helps me quite a lot. Also its okay to acknowledge when youre wrong btw. It's the first step to humility.
It wasn’t a heavily political offset between the actual comments. Idk if you had actually seen the conversations that went on in there but they weren’t innately political, and neither were my comments. So yes, i find it strange that they were very quick to take down that specific thread when there’s numerous other off topic threads that they’ve chosen to take down, along with some actual 14 related threads where they just seemed to have not supported whatever viewpoint was being made. It isn’t the first time this has happened and it most likely won’t be the last. Again, i’d rather you not assume things from my posts and instead ask questions if you need help in clarifying :) Works better that way.
Mayne they acted so quickly because there were a lot of people who reported the thread en masse? With the usual troll and bait threads, I'm guessing they only get one or two reports because most of us are just sick of them but have learned to largely tune them out knowing the characters involved will just be back in a month with no real repercussions. But when your inbox gets flooded with reported from different people all about a specific thread it's sort of hard to not take immediate action.
It was Eggman all along. See since his metal virus failed he needed a new plan. Unfair cleans. Eggman is purely evil. :c
