DirectX11 Crashes

Hello. I, like many others here, have been having consistent DX11 crashes. Mine began shortly after 5.55 came out, and are still ongoing. I am playing the game entirely vanilla, so there are no mods or shaders or anything of the sort. So far, I have tried to turn settings very low, underclock my computer, overclock my computer, made sure all of my drivers are up to date, rolled back updates, played in all 3 display modes (full screen, windowed, borderless windowed), disabled all overlays, played with absolutely nothing else open at all, turned off Windows Game Mode, capped my max FPS, and done clean installs of the game twice now. Plus some other things that have most likely slipped my mind, as I've done a lot to try to fix this, to absolutely no avail. And I have also tested by playing Elder Scrolls Online, which also uses DX11, and I as able to play that with no problems for hours on end. So please, any and all help would be appreciated. Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
2) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
3) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
4) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything
5) Install Windows and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive (preferably the C:/ drive if possible)

Assuming you mean any hardware changes, no, nothing has been done to that before the issues started.

1) I have no additional programs that could interfere with the game, and I don't play with any custom configurations.

2) I have already done this in the past, and the problem persisted.

3) I have tried this with absolutely no USB devices at all, and it still crashed.

4) I have tried a clean boot already, but it made no difference.

5) I have tried this with the game installed on my C, my D, and me E drives already, and the crashes happened on all of them.

Unfortunately, the device information in the provided System Report does indicate that the laptop being used does not meet the minimum specifications required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV most notably the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family chipset. We do not support Intel graphics cards for FINAL FANTASY XIV. However, there is an NVIDIA device that is not listed as the primary graphics card. This suggests that you may be running NVIDIA Optimus which controls whether your system utilizes the base Intel card or the NVIDIA card to conserve battery power. Please try disabling NVIDIA Optimus and see if the error persists. For instructions on how to force the NVIDIA card to be enabled or to disable Optimus, please contact NVIDIA Support.

I have now used both Nvidia Control Panel and the WindowsOS itself to force FINAL FANTASY XIV to run with the NVIDA card, rather than the integrated graphics. Despite that, I have since had two of the exact same crashes as before, so it has changed nothing.

1) Remove game and all content
2) Restart PC
3) Install and run a registry cleaner
4) Restart PC
5) Reinstall the game
6) Restart PC
7) Launch game to see if issue is resolved

Thank you very much for the response. Unfortunately, though, that doesn't seem to have fixed anything. The game still crashed with the DirectX error message after a few minutes of playing.

Do you have the game installed on an NVMe drive by any chance?

We're testing something atm, on a PC that had the DirectX or Nvidia DLL crashes. After moving the game from an NVMe drive to a SATA M.2 we haven't had a crash in 5 hours of gameplay. Will update if it crashes though.

I believe it is an NVMee drive, yes. Hopefully the issue stays solved for you!

It's not, game crashed after about 6 hours.

It has been over a week since a moderator responded to this post. Can I please get some assistance? The most recent fix that was suggested did absolutely nothing.

this happened to me, and i realized that when i installed the FF on a HDD, it only crashed like once a month, if i install on my SSD Nvme it crashed almost everytime i alt-tabed, any ideias?

i'm having the issue, and it's only recently started, i had the game on my hdd, and uinstalled to reinstall to my ssd on a new comp.

i've tried all the troubleshooting steps listed on various posts to fix this, nada. yet it's only FFXIV that crashes w/o error to desktop, my other games are fine.

i don't run excessive amounts of apps or programs while playing ffxiv. i disable ALL overlays in any app or program that has them. i make sure my nvidia gpu is used as not any onboard one, even tho my mobo doesn't have one that i cant tell. i've sfc'd so many times and not found any integrity violations each time. checked for virus and malware, never find any. i've also uninstalled ffxiv, deleted all folders and registry entries for the game. reinstalled 3x that i can recall, probably more, it still occurs. even used DDU to remove all gfx drivers, and reinstalled from nvidia. used nvidia's custom install to do perform clean installs, same issue, random crashes. i've even got extra system fans to draw in more cold air, since i'm not on a liquid cooled system. my temp never gets into danger levels.
