Blacklist

I have been doing dungeons mostly with random individuals or party teams by myself. The GMs told me to post to the forums about my issues. I have been getting more and more harassment lately. I have about 22 people on my blacklist. What do I post on here? And what is anyone going to do?

Well, I think we need to know why you are being harassed, or what you consider as harassment. Otherwise we can only speculate which might not be very helpful.

Is harassment verbal abuse? I think I'm being harassed because of misunderstandings and because people are mentally ill.

It is verbal abuse at the very least, but you still aren't providing any helpful information.

I also very usually play a tank class. I've seen some posts about the provocation they get from other people who play other classes.

Names? No. That is against the forum ToS. What was said? Maybe paraphrase, as profanity could get you into trouble as well. But most importantly, what led to this alleged harassment? "I'm a tank" doesn't really cut it.

I reported to the harassment to the GMs. I don't know anymore. I have a personal chat log with timestamps but they can only go back so far!

One of these guys said, "an impatient tank is a bad tank." It was pervasive! And then before I left he said, good riddance all while I tried my best to help the team. And Boone else said a damn thing!

What led to them saying that? They probably didn't say that for no reason.

He was clearly a man and with that language I could guess he's at least in his thirties!

That's pretty vague. I don't what that has to do with anything. It has to be more complicated than that...and whose to say you aren't the guy who said that to me.

Where's the GM!? Do I have to get in touch with the HR of the development team of this game or something to get some help!? Or do I just give up?

Hmm first off all what you discribe is nothing more then you are not reading or ignoring information.
Next you made assumptions who/what people are just because you disagree with them and even reported them for these claims.

I looked you up and with what i saw and what you are giving out i am guessing you are expecting something what the game clearly not provides.

Oh also you got already told form GM that your report is already looked at and they jugeded it as nothing report worthy and closed it.
I am all in for critique but this is one of two things:

1. Ignorance for given Information and a absolut toxic behavior,

or

2. Bait because Titanmann has another Alt....

I find it strange that a GM would instruct you to post about bad personal experiences on the forums, as there is not a lot we can do about it. Clearly you have found the blacklist feature, so if somebody is harassing repeatedly the best thing you can do is just to walk away and ignore them.

I guess what I need to ask is, does it seem like these people have a common theme in their attitudes toward you? You mentioned one player called you a bad tank for being impatient -- is that a common theme you see in the complaints toward you? Have you tried asking them what exactly it is they'd like you to do differently? Even if they are being needlessly rude and only deserve rudeness back, maybe it's better to be the bigger person and try to understand why they are acting this way toward you.

You mentioned you had at least a partial chat log recorded, I think. Could you provide some quotes to help us understand specifically what they're saying to you? Of course, don't include player names or any profanity.

What does the game clearly not provide? I am simply trying to protect myself from danger! Because it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt!

You people just don't get the seriousness of this to me but, it's fine. I expected this.

you have provided zero information to the subject, your answers sound really fake and simi-sarcastic, you have made some weird allegations, you have black listed 22 separate people over the same issue, and you play a gladiator not a paladin...

I'm going to say you are the problem in most likelihood based on given information, sorry :(

I hope everything works out for you, and I'm sorry to hear people were giving you a hard time.

Have you tried reaching out to your FC about this? If you have friends there or at least people you're more comfortable with than on the forums, maybe they can help figure out what is going on -- if there is even anything to figure out at all. Maybe you have just had some bad luck lately and Duty Finder handed you some random jerks. Or maybe you could run some dungeons with some FC mates and they can offer their take on your tanking style.

In any case, good luck to ya and I hope your dungeon parties become more positive!

Are you saying this because of their forum info? Because I noticed that until I fixed it just now, the forums listed me as a Conjurer and not a White Mage. I had to adjust it manually here, the game didn't update it automatically. Also, I notice their character info on the Lodestone shows the Paladin icon, and when you hover your cursor over it, it says "Paladin/Gladiator." But for me, who hasn't touched tanking, it shows the Gladiator icon and says "Gladiator" only. It doesn't seem like they are still playing a Gladiator, although perhaps you're looking at something I am not aware of.
