Please increase the amount of timeworns you get from DR

probably the worst repeatable step of the relic process is grinding out 15 drs or spending 10 hours of your life getting 15 from potd

Yeah but how else are they going to keep content alive til 6.0?

I'd rather they kept the Void Ark and Rabanastre requirements and ditched DR.

Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoy DR more, but I'm not spending even a second longer farming Bozja than I have to. That means no essences, and I really hate that DR is bound to that terrible gimmick.

Edit: I'm not wasting gil either; before someone suggests I buy them.

I think it should be 3, or reduce the amount needed to 5.

It's weird how it drops 2 raw emotions but still only one artifact. Especially considering you get 3 from Dalriada. Considering how it's still faster to get them from DR they should just commit and have it drop 3.

just let the DR weekly give an extra 3-4

I feel confident they intend to reduce the amount required, just not right away. Maybe in 6.0 or 6.1.

They should make DR give at least 3, preferably 5, and also have PotD give more, perhaps like this:
Floors 1-10: 1 guaranteed
Floors 11-90: 1 guaranteed, and a chance of a second per 10 floors cleared
Floors 91-100: 2 guaranteed
Floors 101-190: 2 guaranteed, and a chance of a third per 10 floors cleared
Floors 191-200: 3 guaranteed

Cause at this point people caught up have gotten enough time worn, of if you're like me you only needed timeworn for two more weapons. Being able to work on two relic phases at once, plus getting more mettle for merit points is pretty nice for someone like me.

Doing this step feels really miserable without a premade as DR runs with randoms still regularly exceed 30+ minutes despite the new actions and valor buffs being a thing now.

I would be very much in favor of them boosting the PotD drop rate to 100% and making DR drop multiple relics to compensate for its length.

If you have two quesets active at once, you'll get 1 timeworn relic and two emotion from a single DR run.

So you need to only do 128 runs of DR to get enough emotion to upgrade every weapon.
You'd still need to do another 128 runs of DR in order to get the rest of the timeworn relics to upgrade every weapon.

You'll end up with 256 leftover emotion when you've done this.

This, pointedly, don't add up.

Yeah, I farmed 30 timeworn artifacts for two different weapons before this latest patch. I think it took me... hmmm about a week irl to grind that many. Cause potd is/was dead at that time. Maybe everyone's doing it now so the ques aren't that bad. But two weeks prior to 5.55, you could only do potd for about 5 hours each day (at the peak time) for decent ques on my data center.

Yeah, I would love to see an increase...somewhere. Anywhere.

i really hate to say it but this seems like more of a problem that will sort itself out; the casuals who don't even know what an essence is or what valor buffs are will be long gone, leaving only people who are at least semi-competent

They ran out of resources to make filler content for the relic after making Male Viera. So you're gonna have to live with DR grind or RNG driven content for now.

Yes. Give us more or more ways to get them. Right now it's hell.

I don't know...I feel as, as time goes les and less people use essences, as people run out of them. Buying them is also not a good solution, last time I bought them I spent like half a million in them and I didn't even get the ones I wanted, since it's RNG. I'd totally not redo it.
As for honors, the people who bother getting them seem to be increasing, but there's also always people who don't even bother getting to rank 25, as well as ofc there will always be rank 10 first timers. And if it's anything like when DR came out vs later on, idk if it's really gonna get better or just worse once people who only do 1/a few relics will be done.

We have 6 months to xpac seems to me relic is going to not keep people busy for that long. Only steps I've really not liked are the ones that were one time only per character. This 5.55 release is way too easy in my view when you can level up in one day and get you relic without that much more work. 3 Dalriada's and 3 DR's and done not to mention the fact you can get the items from 70 dungeons. DR is a bit of work but not overly grindy in my view and I've got multiple toons doing relic.

DR's seem to be going a lot faster for me now with people using honors.

I'm pretty content with it staying how it is. So getting your relic takes some time and effort so you have earned your precious shiny at the end. We have months and months, the content is not going anywhere. There is no need to bang out 5 runs a day and make yourself miserable.

.. I don't care how much time I have.

What I care is the numbers, literally, don't add up.

Either I end up with way too many, wasted, final stage items, or I grind POTD at a low drop rate.
