Request: VR

I'd like to see support for VR, maybe not in all areas, but dungeon exploration maybe?
Anyone know what complication might be involved with adding it?

I love VR; play it almost as much as standard games lately.

It would be fun to simply explore this game in VR, but because combat wouldn't work at all it would be very restricted, so the appeal would be limited. Probably not worth the effort.

Ya i think ppl would naturally stay away from that, since it would be so awkward.
But for dungeon exploration where there's no mobs, it would be nice. In lower level areas where mobs are too low lv to aggro, you could safely just Cruise around and enjoy the scenery, i feel that's what it would be for.

Haha yah, i just started playing on PS5, after some time away, had to redo all UI stuff etc. I noticed how flashy it got in 8man fights, like.. Where am i even in this mess?

No and there's a 3 letter abbr why I wouldn't support it.

It's been a few years but I remember either the devs or a fan themselves made a couple segments of the game VR, but without heavy modifications to how combat is displayed it'd be pretty awful to experience. Imagine having to look down at your feet or crane your neck straight up to catch AoE indicators. For simple exploration it'd be fine probably but I wouldn't want to actually have to fight in this game in VR.

What if we kept the current camera angles/perspectives, but instead of your vision ending at the edges of the screen it wraps all around you.

How about we make first person show you holding the weapon like skyrim and enable it to stay in 1st person during cs

It looks the same as it does on your screen, but if you turn around you can see the hallway your characters just came down.

Ah so still in third person but you're the camera, instead of your FOV being the same as your character? That could work fine I think

Oof. Ya, i rode a rollercoaster in VR, the vertigo is real haha,would be scary to get knocked off Titan plattform - bye world 😭


I'd spend days just wandering around every map, looking at details like grass, logs, stones, ooh aah at the size of the trees in Rak'tika Woods, or Azys'la.
Get dizzy walking up the stairs in the observatory in coerthas.
I'd def want to go look at e very boss too, like Imagine standing next to shinryu 😳
Or getting thrown around the tubes in Alexander 4 😬

LOL RDM LB3 in VR yes please!

Sounds great until you go into a dungeon with a white mage spamming Holy and your eyes melt out of your head.

Well every primal and raid boss have some flashy LB skill, so it would be cool to see those, though it would be over in an instant 😒

Maybe add an option to turn off "overly excessive skill animation".

We can already turn down the intensity of both our and others particle effects though.

Character config > control > character > battle effects settings
