Reported someone about half an hour ago for harassment in Ravanna trial over how I was playing SMN. He had a fit, swore at me, called me trash, told everyone I was griefing, etc, kept that up the whole time all because I had titan out for a hot minute after we wiped. Just to mitigate a bit of damage for our healers, at least one of whom was new and was having trouble keeping up. Yes, I understand, titan doesn't do optimal DPS output. But its not like I was sitting there autoing or parking in AOEs, nor did I have titan out the whole time. Also he's good for aoe damage with mountain buster so he's good for mobs leave titan alone pls he's just a chicken nugget.
tl;dr sry bout the rant, just wondering if I should sit here and wait for a message or just go about my day as I planned.

You'll just get a copy and paste once they receive your report. They won't directly tell you what action they take.

they may get just a warning, or if the language was strong enough (they can check the logs from the time that you provide) it could go to a suspension. if it's not their first time getting reprimanded it may be worse. if it's their last chance they'll get banned.
you as the reporter though will never know what happens for privacy reasons. likewise the person that you reported will never find out that it was you that reported them for the same reason. -

I've been there, and I've been told off for it in much more amicable terms lol. I just can't figure out how he saw me pull out titan after the wipe (which was due to sprouts not knowing about the ghana mechanic, which was explained to them after) but didn't see me using ifrit the whole time prior. Like he chose that moment specifically to land on me with "Why is there a f*cking titan egi out", and then ranting like I was somehow specifically responsible for not killing enough adds. And he was dps too. We were in it together. Idk. I'm still gonna use titan if I'm at risk of death, as usual, because I'd rather at least try not to die. Blizzard started sending emails in game thanking you for reporting and letting you know the player was actioned, but they still never tell you what that action was.
Privacy reasons. I'm assuming though that they do something about it here. -

If they need more information, they will try to send tells or they will send you a message in the support desk where you made it (your mailbox icon will flash). When they have enough information they will usually just send a message in the support desk. They may also send an email response if the report wasn't done in the game itself.
If what they did was hurtful or rude like in the way you described, they probably will be warned or banned, depending on if they have done it before.
A lot of it may be copy and pasted, but you would do the same if you worked with a support desk and had to say the same sort of things all of the time. They deviate from what they pasted if it makes sense to so it's not a robot.
