just wondering if anyone have a solution for this? i crashes A LOT, the incidence of how much seams to be linked direct to number of alt+tab

Where in game does the crash occur? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

none of the above seemed to work, the only correlation it has is that the less ALT+TAB i use harder it is to occur, but that is terrible if im trying to stream and have to monitors... help please!

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
3) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
4) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
5) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
6) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything

1- no boost or overclock in any manner is at work, avg temp is around 55 on CPU and GPU
2- nothing other than OBS sometimes is working together with steam and FF, discord and spotify included...
3- no mods or anything of anykind
4- it is off on the ffxiv_dx11.exe in the game folder
5- nothing unecessary or audio problem

We apologize for the delay in responding and would like to recommend performing a Clean Boot on the desktop to see if the crashing continues. This will prevent any programs from starting up when the starting when the computer first boots up. This can end up having adverse effects on the game when these programs are running in the background. To perform a clean boot for Windows 10: Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

i also dont use mods, any injectors, no chatlog, but i do use noping, tunnel for better ping since im in brazil and the server is on the west coast.

any chance i can create/see the crash file log?

anyone have any ideia how to solve this? i love this game, but this is soulcrushing...its killing my enjoyment, wow has all the problems of a game, and more, but i never crashed

Think there could be many reasons but I used to get DirectX error at the same locations for some weird reasons, as if there was a faulty cache or corrupted data loading and it crashed the game. What solved it for me was to lower graphical setting, I had to test it out which one affected me I cant remember, but after that it kinda fixed itself. So just try to play with lowered settings for some while and if it doesnt crash anymore you know it is connected to that. And maybe check your driver too.

can we get some support going on on this forum please? im stuck at home with covid, there a lot of posts with the same problem the only response we get is a copy past troubleshoot, should i try to translate my post into the japanese forums, i think they get responses there... i love the game but the suport is non-existent.....

4) Restart PC
5) Reinstall the game
