For real congratulations to everyone who asked for this. I dislike genderlocking too, but also wish we had more variety than neko-people.

Dang! That's some quick editing there! I'd love for Ivalice moogles/ Lopurrets to be playable. Unfortunately, Yoshida said that there would be no more races added... We can dream though. Maybe in 7.0 they could change their minds? Maybe.

yoshida never said never, he said PROBABLY Viera and hrothgar will be the last races.

maybe 7.0 we can see a Lopurret as playable.

Please yoshida add lopurret as playable(even without hair or hats)

I say there is a good chance we will get that when the Beastmen quests come out later on as a reward. Here's to hoping. :)

I for one want to see ALL the beastmen as playable races at some point but the conflicts with the lore would be the only barrier in my mind to accept it in my onw head.

Pretty much how I feel. I don't think it's happening for 6.0, but the bases needed for Loporrit assets is mostly done between lala and Viera models (apart from headgear), which, when combined with the Loporrit models, would make most of the remaining work focus on editing and re-rigging around the ears & head to accommodate the new proportions.

That male Viera is channeling serious Emet-Selch face.

They're actually the Hummingway from FF4, which canonically come from the moon.

They're also a direct rip of the FF12 Moogle models with the Pom and Wings edited out.

Aye, but their models are more akin to FF12 moogles than the made-later Hummingway ones. It's mostly in the ear style I'd say. Given they're not too far off from one another.

Let us moogle supporters have this, kupo~ They did Montblanc dirty enough, and that's on top of making Eorzean moogles be as infuriatingly annoying as getting thousand maws for the 9th time in a row for roulette.

They banished all the good ones to the moon and apparently there's lots of mooglebanes there I guess~

Couldn't even remember his pom or fur colors.

Still would love to see how the Loporrit connect back to the ivalice raids. Would make for a neat side quest chain at the very least.

One day...one day. Then I can change my lala alt to a magnificent adorable Ivalice Moogle. T^T

I saw a post on twitter, and I can't un see it. For me they will now always be called Moongles (Moon + Moogle) XD

I wouldn’t dislike the Neko-earred races so much if it wasn’t the anime-equivalent of D&D races, which is the only alternative. Hrothgar try but I think Loporrit would fit well once Viera and Hrothgar get their headgear issues resolved.

I think so too. It'd have to be in 7.0 onward though. Maybe give a reason for them leaving the moon then XD

Honestly they could just use a skinned over Lalafell model. Same gear and everything but just different skin and head. Would understand no headgear for it tbh if you take the ears and pom into consideration.

I genuinely believed they might troll us by saying the lops were the male Viera.

How about some more moogle themed glam? That may be easier on the devs and give the Lalafell a true moogle effect.

TBH Lack of hair or head gear options would not bother me much since I already do not use outside the masks, and I have changed my hair maybe twice my entire time playing FFXIV.

It would certainly be easier for sure, and honestly I see them doing this before adding a lopurret or moogle as a playable race. But we can dream and speculate! :D

Seriously though. While I can see what problems could be there, I still think they could do it. We'd be willing to wait! Also, just saying, love the signature! Ivalice Moogles are awesome!

Admittedly, asking for new races now does assume a lot of work is being done in the interim, but I don't think that's too problematic to ask for 7.0, given what's been confirmed to be on their radar for 6.0. As for Endwalker itself, if they do go in hard on the FFIV references I could see them pulling out a Mt. Ordeals style dungeon up on the Moon, which has the potential to involve the Loporrits, albeit indirectly.

now being honestly, discarding fantasy addicts, how many peoples would actually buy a fantasia just to change for this race.

My wife and I simultaneously SQUUEEEEEEEEELLLED when we saw the Lopurrets for the first time. While I have no expectation of them becoming a playable race, I dearly want one as a full sized minion to run around with in Endwalker.

The much smaller males would be more home-focused, take care of the tribe's children, and be excellent hiders.

But, I guess lore trumps all.

Because some artist drew some concept art, we will have strong, muscular males in a race of Amazonian women. It feels silly even typing that out.

I don't think they're going to make races anymore, at least not for a while lol
But hey, I'm for ivalice moogles or some other tiny race. However, I think this thread should have a different title...
