how do you think about the prize of the lunar whale and the three pets in the mogstation??

What do you mean? Like what do we think about them being on mogstation?

I guess it doesn't bother me. Normally they would have come with the tickets for seeing the fanfest, but since everything has gone crazy, they are just going straight to mogstation instead. I do hope they eventually add an 8 seater mount to be obtained ingame, but we'll see if they do.

I rather buy a new full price game than a 20pixel mount in an MMORPG with sub requirement. Enough people will buy it regardless, FF14 is a good cash cow.

You're assuming that they're going to be putting the money back into the game but in reality the money is going towards other SE failures.

I actually assumed the subscription money is going to whatever SE decides but mogstation purchases goes directly to FFXIV.

Probably between 35-60 bucks. Purely cause its the first 8man mount in the game and also cause this year theres no tickets for fanfest-everything basically being free, the whale would be a good buck regardless of its price.

1) They are paying the monthly subscribtion to access the game.
2) I dont know if you know about this but a large amount of the income XIV makes-if not the most goes to other Square Enix projects/games etc..
3) They have no reason to spend more money if they dont want to, and seeing as they play since 2013 lol they have probably spent a fair amount already xD
Edit: 4) this summer plenty of good games are coming out, and honestly why buy an optional mount when u can buy a brand new game and enjoy plenty of hours of it.

Yes Sub money is split between 14 and other projects. The mogstation money goes back into the game and nowhere else.

The real scary thing is that we won't feel the squeeze from Balan Wonderworld until EW.

Does he work on ffxiv full time? No, he works on ffxvi too.

I rather have the option to buy it including other outfits that can be found in game like The Warrior of Light outfit in which I am missing everything but the boots. Seriously, bring back older events like the FFXV event. There is no reason that should have been taken out.

Also, why is the store full of clothes from the most hated final fantasy game out there aka FF13? No one really likes that game except people from Kotaku. Give the option for people who want to grind, but give those of us who would rather pay for those cool outfits!

1) If you don't enjoy this game, the mogstation doesn't bothers you.
2) Mogstation items are all fluff items which are not needed to play the game.
3) Sure go play other games, its a free world. Players like myself wishes to spend money on retainers and fluff items instead of playing another game, that's our personnel choice.

It's €28 (on sale until june 10), then it's €33 for the whale. Way lower than I expected.

The sale price is pretty much exactly what I said I might be willing to pay for it. It's like they're calling me out.

Squarenix rapidly recovering it's budget expenses for the next expansion

Pleasantly surprised by the price, honestly. Expected it to be way more where it’s the first 8 man mount.

I was expecting it to be pricier too but tbf there really isn't much content where an 8 man mount will be useful.

Bozja's CEs have you automatically teleport, and FATEs happen so frequently and fast that it's not the end of the world if you miss one.
For Hunts it WOULD be useful but people lately tend to not wait at all, so by the time the 7 people in your party click on you to get in the mount, the Hunt train would probably be 50% done.
They COULD be planning for a dungeon/trial/something next expansion where mounts are used but big doubt. TERA used to have a fight where the Healer had to get on his mount to kite mobs around or die trampled for example, but nothing of the sort has ever been done in FFXIV where mounts are just a raid/wallet flex.

Wow, very surprised by the price for both the mount and the minions. Excellent. Not buying the mount but thanks SE! Be buying the minions straight away.

I rarely if ever end up driving people around so it's not really worth it for me, at least for that one reason.

the amount of times I've driven people around in the Regalia I can probably count on one hand.

Got it, love it, will be using it a lot, love the music and the design :-D

What music does it use?

Just waiting for mine to turn up in the mail box still I bought it at 9am and am still waiting for it right now

It pretty much pays for the production cost of fanfest since there are no inperson ticket sales.
