It'd be nice if... what? Type whatever and share your thoughts~
(I totally stole this thread idea from the FF11 forums. Credit to user Kalimairo)

It'd be nice if we had animations for summoning/dismissing our Chocobo Companion.
When you summon mounts you whistle/blow a horn, but since you summon your companion by using Gyshal Greens we just get the generic Use Item animation.
And when we dismiss them we just stand there looking at them blankly as we select "withdraw" from a menu.
It'd be cool if we had unique animations, but are the very least they could have us use the /beckon animation when we summon our companion and /wave to say goodbye when we dismiss them.

It'd be nice if we have more than 1 ultimate per expansion
It'd also be nice if they get rid of all the ERP/RMT advertisements in PF

It'd be nice if we knew more a out Ran'jit. Despite his brief time on the big screen, I really enjoyed it whenever he popped in and started beating everyone's ass. Plus, to hear at the end with him being finally reunited with his long departed daughters, his Minfilias. I really wish we could have gotten to know him better via flashbacks through the Echo. He was a hugely wasted character and I hope he's still alive so we can a totally learn more a out him.

Plus, I'd like to see him interact with Ryne and Gaia and be sort of another father to Ryne in Thancred's place, though generally doing the same things Thancred did and gaining an understanding of this reincarnation of Minifillia and coming to terms with how wrong he was to keep her locked up just becasue he didn't want to lose another one of her to the Sin Eaters.

It’d be nice if we can interact with objects & talk with NPCs while we’re staying mounted.

It’d be nice if underwater exploration can be expanded.

It’d be nice if they can slap an invisible random penalty timer (anywhere between 30m to 3hr) on whoever decides to troll a DRn run by quitting at beginning.

It’d be nice if I can take a peek of whatever a mob/chest can drop by right clicking them.

It’d be nice if I can have more than just 15 glamour plates & 400 glamour dresser slots.

It'd be nice if I can use glamour plates outside major cities for a certain cost every attempt.

It'd be nice when we get those egi glamours...

Or you know. Full Summons.

I'd like to friend your alt. Or, at least, let your alts on the same sever register that you own a home. The game recognizes that you're a homeowner on that shard, so why do alts not have access to them?

It'd be nice if Housing was account based and not character based

It'd be nice if all casuals are gone.

It'd be nice if I didn't have the fun sucked out of the game by others having fun at my expense.

It'd be nice if tackle bait and craft mats had their own bags with organizational features and/or toggles

It'd be nice if we had better CC or at least more presets in the CC screen

It'd be nice if they scrapped egis altogether from summoners and instead you could glam your trance summoning spells

It'd be nice if forums were updated to bypass the min. character setup we have now and just aim for max instead because all we end up doing anyways is immediately editing our post to go beyond the minimum.

It'd be nice if GMs could actually tell people who are being given a strike or ban the reason for it.

I'd be nice if you would start using cooldowns on tankbusters, and on big pulls

It'd be nice if my internet routing into Japan would stop losing packets and causing lag spikes every day from 6-7pm to 11-12pm. It's sad that I have to pay for a VPN to play the game smoothly in the evenings. :(

It would be nice if I could pet my chocobo (and get a reaction).

They can be such a great help and deserve all the pets they get. It would be wonderful if we could do way more things with them.

It would be nice if there was a sort of Kickstarter system in the game.

Basically, things the devs are on the fence about are listed (eg. A new glamour, or making all racial gear usable for all races, fix hats for viera/hrothgar). These are things the devs are 100% not planning to do with regular subscription money.

The devs put down these projects with how much dev time/money it would take. Players can contribute real money towards it. If it hits the needed amount, devs do it (possibly hiring from other dev teams).

Contributors either get the new item in the mail since they pre-purchased it, or in the event it something non-tangible like a housing ward, they get some minor but nice item (wall plaque, medal necklace, participation trophy..something super minor)

It'd be nice if levequests were revamped to encourage party play like they used to before ARR, didn't cost a wasted allowance when your duty queue popped and they improved the implementation of the ishgardian ones in particular.

Yeet, here's some- these games are fun:

It would be nice if- there was an in game calendar, might see some unity with other systems like FC, but also include in game events and perhaps through filter toggle other concepts (might have weather in the calendar, after visiting the weather station), quest reset, updates etc.

It would be nice if- there was some sort of homely for everyone system, either airships (down below) or something else (sanctuary might apply here). A new system where you get Wild Star, EQ2 in some ways, housing with your own space, while not killing wards would be great.

It would be nice if- there was more emphasis on role play of your job / situation, like items that have cool effects, goofy potions to use for fun, dragoons who don't take fall damage, etc. Avoid damaging end game balance, but to inject a sense of 'roleplay' into the game (mechanically)- like maybe white mage gets slow fall, cool crafter specific gizmos, not every enemy being aggressive (looking at you aggressive deer lol), enemies sometimes behaving a little bit differently in their off time like Snurbles who might cure you as you walk by or some enemy who is very fast movement, etc. One idea for some of this was a roleplay and cosmetic merit system, so you could upgrade your dragoon with 50% damage jump, then zero, higher jump in areas you've flying, Nidhogg theme'd armor, dark knight smokey aura effect from HW trailer, etc. Roleplay may inject into the enviroment too, camp fires might offer a buff after sitting in them for a certain amount of time, perhaps hidden areas or puzzles because why not, etc. Add a sense of mystery via more tangible aspects.

It would be nice if- related a bit to the previous if they go full Thal's spherical halls to the walls on summoner to give it the "FF" vibe. Not saying 1:1 scale, but those demi are the right ideas, and some of the other big ooh as spells. Summoning magic is consistently the most overly gaudy in your face magic, so I feel like that should be 'the job' if you want to make the most noise. Which is currently probably Black Mage or something akin to it. Holy spam, yee.. lol. Which includes ensuring a nice range of summons. This may or may not mean large changes, I could see this happen without them, and I could see it with them (large changes). Which isn't to say I think it's horrible right now, ARR I wasn't impressed but to credit the two demi are purty.

It would be nice if- there was a build your hamlet sort of concept for FC, group activity- perhaps a sort of Sanctuary like concept except more into the industrial thought (village). Adding purpose to reputation, and more of them, building up alliances and friendships. Adding Hamlet defense, and assault even. Dark Cloud (video game) vibes, placing down facilities, etc.

It would be nice if- hunts rewarded those who liked to spot them alive, but there was also a system for those who came later to enjoy them too and perhaps giving them a bit more of a Monster Hunter vibe. Such that you might go to their death location, interact with their essence and kindle their spirit for a fight there. Keeping insane instant death hunts to a minimum while allowing different groups to engage in them. (Not a fan of the train, maybe some are). Adding more rewards, and unique ones at that, to the concept now that more people can take part. Coming late not being aggressively punishing but lowering the strength of the essence reducing # of rolls (so if alive is 3 major rolls 1 minor, freshly dead would be 3 major no minor, and less at each interval, the strength of the enemy going down as well, and you can optionally pick lower strengths).

It would be nice if- there was a mega leve like system that gave a mad lib sort of large quest experience with a very high value reward (but limited per week). Reward might be choose-able, but say if you didn't play often it might be like "300 tomes". Always worth the time invest, but limited and a bit dynamic so someone might choose a different reward that benefits them most.

It would be nice if- movement felt more fluid and natural, like dashes being improved on feel or jumping puzzles not being an awkward hanging your toes off ledges that don't exist. Includes collision in general, as some objects are not properly collide-able (you'd think you can stand on them, but you can't).

It would be nice if- all items purchased on the mog shop were account bound rather than some.

It would be nice if- the glamour log could act as a item codex and include all equip-able items (and more, like locations, beasts, etc, if possible). Else an idea that is memory friendly but a bit more steps might be using essence from an area to unlock that section of a crystal library.

It would be nice if- we got a dark theme'd job, emphasis on theme and not specifically colors, (with personal bias to transformation concepts, like Dante from DMC, Yuri from Shadowhearts, Vincent from FF7 / Dirge).

It would be nice if- you could click quest keywords like items to get a hotlink to that item or recipe, like if you could click beast tribe crafting quest item to go straight to that recipe of the job you're currently related to.

It would be nice if- there was a airship content, inspired by classical FF, with far reaching upgrades

It would be nice if- you can use the dismount / put away weapon key to also summon your mount (like .5 second press hold or something)

It would be nice if- chocobos had a content update, hopefully including new jobs, chocobo paradise, chocobo hot and cold, etc

It would be nice if- Grand company teleport tickets could be listed in the teleport UI, and auto use / not use option set for aetheryte tickets

It would be nice if- In general but also for magitek to see some mount unification, like Legacy Chocobo is technically your chocobo with barding and tattoo, should be a toggle / barding, for magitek that'd be being able to color, upgrade and attach stuff in Cid's garage (like making your own FFXV car changes).

It would be nice if- Blue Mage had it's earlier spells designed as interestingly as their last two level cap patch spells (60-70), and gained some more fluid growth opportunities rather than needing to think about over leveling and unsyncing content to use a worse kit. Greatly encouraging mechanics that are good alone but also interweave in interesting ways, like a Diablo 3, Hades, or like type of game. Also would be interesting if other jobs had limited like features (like bard has music).

It would be nice if- seed bags could show their result item so you don't have to mouse over every seed bag to find the one you're looking for.

It would be nice if- housing wards had some more active content opportunities

It would be nice if- you could lock a select number of fields from the randomizer (say "I want this tattoo, voice, or hair but not sure about the rest")


It would be nice if- new ShB zone level system caused changes to the zone and encompassed new concepts as well as old content, expanding the concept further.

It would be nice if- squadrons, trusts, retainers, and companions had more organization between each other, either better uniformity, or moving them off into their own concepts further and aligning things that way to feel uniform (like if squadrons moved into this sort of outpost upgrade / leader of the GC system, meanwhile trust/ companion into another, etc). Just make them feel less like disjointed systems sort of attempting a similar concept.

It would be nice if We had challenging 4 man content.

It would be nice if We had more replayable content.

It would be nice if Housing was account based.

It would be nice if the battle content scaling was more consistent.

It would be nice if they didn't gimp the Dev team by making them develop a single player game.

It would be nice if we had the old Emnity system back.

It would be nice if they didn't ruin BRD.

It would be nice if they had a more hands on community team for each region outside Japan.

One of my favourite things about ESO is Personalities. They change all of your character's animations to themes. I would literally KILL for 14 to add these into the new tab umbrellas are in..

It'd be nice if housing interactives and buyable npcs were given a bit more life into them. There's already the bow you get when you step into your house entrance but there's more that could happen: "Bartender" walking back and for and cleaning counter or shelving bottles. An "alchemist" consulting a tome or mixing a cauldron. A "chef" cutting ingredients or taste-testing his latest creation. Also, for the "platter/table" food we get in the game, it'd be also nice to have your character visually eating a piece of that food.

It'd be nice if parties were an actual game feature. By making use of the existing invitation asset we have in the game, you could invite people to your home, up to a certain amount that the invitation allows. Then people would need to stay within the confines of your property (including front/backyard) for a set amount of time before receiving negligible buffs that can stack with food buffs.

It'd be nice if current housing wards emulated the current fetes. Conpleting these lighthearted, short fates could net you random housing decos.

It'd be nice if glamour dresser were to be installed for 6.0 for any residential building.

It'd be nice if they added different apartment sizes.

It'd be nice if they added an option to build a pool of different sizes.

It'd be nice if they added a community hall to housing wards.

It would be nice if we didn't get "Cannot do that while busy" message when trying to open something with another menu open. Just close the previous ones!

It would be nice if dungeons were more than just a 01 line corridor.

It would be nice if the Forums had a better tech with a better way to receive notifications.

It would be nice if Blue Mage had an actual BLU daily roulette with the Aetherial Mimicry flagging your role.

It would be nice if housing had a vertical axis when it came to furnishing.

It would be nice if we could have literally an empty box (no columns, ceilings) when it comes to the basic layout.

It would be nice to dye 2 different channels from outfits.

It would be nice to have a couple of different default expressions for your character just like you can change your idle pose - a "Change Expression" emote.

It would be nice to see more out-of-the-box weapon silhouettes for jobs. Example: Bladed Fans for DNC, Folded Umbrella for RDM, Mop for DRG, A crossbow for MCH.

It would be nice if I could wear hats and have hairstyles outside of using a Fantasia. ;^;

I agree. I wish we could have had something like an echo flashback of the character, them looking after the many 'minfelia's' before Ryne came along. Maybe we'd sympathize with him a little more. Ah well...

These! Definitely these! I was really looking forward to underwater exploration. Seeing it so empty underwater made me rather disappointed.

It would be nice if the hunt scholar NPCs told u the date and time the SS, S, and A ranks were last killed.

It'd be nice if there was a setting between Effects On and Effects Off, so I could see the RDM LB3 but also see anything else.

...textures would be updated across the board to be of roughly the same quality and level of detail; it's hard to pair an item from ARR with another from ShB due to how different their respective textures are in detail, quality, and even texturetype.

...the level 50 replica allagan gear (sans MH/OH) were made level 1 and role-unlocked.

...more, if not all gear is gender-unlocked (catboy maids anyone?)

...character level of detail in both textures and models were slightly improved.

...male Viera existed.

...we get more Xaela / Azim Steppe lore and stories.

...people on both extremes of casual and elite were less toxic and more accommodating of one another.

...people weren't wont to think in extremes and absolutes and take a more nuanced approach when possible.

...people are more willing to help newbies and/or those who have much yet to learn instead of insulting them.

...people who have things yet to learn would listen to those who have advice to give, and not immediately assume they are being attacked or insulted.

...people who profess to 'hate' the NN would just leave it alone instead of repeatedly attacking it without being there OR entering it only to act passive aggressive, outright aggressive, or outright troll it.

This game was made for erp.

It'd be nice if they made more elaborate, optional dungeons.

It'd be nice if tank gameplay was fun again.

It'd be nice if they brought back DoTs on most jobs again.

It'd be nice if they brought back Aero III.

It'd be nice if cross class skills came back, in addition to role skills. I know people might be afraid of bloat, but classes used to be able to set 10 skills total. So why not 5 Role and 5 Cross class?

It'd be nice if treasure maps had a greater variety of bosses, and if older treasure map areas got a roulette treasure place like the SHB ones.

It'd be nice if they actually allowed time to pass, and aged the characters.

It'd be nice if Aymeric grew a beard.

It'd be nice if Lucia and him got down to making some half-Garlean/Elezen kiddos.

It'd be nice if Y'shtola paid a price for her flirtations with death.

It'd be nice if the side scions got to come and help with main scion activities.

It'd be nice if Mor Dhona expanded again.

It'd be nice if we got to fight the Four Fiends of Elements in Endwalkers( Rubicant, Valvalis(Babariccia), Cagnazzo, and Milon).

It'd be nice if I could do the Tower at Paradigm's Breach without getting a migraine.

It'd be nice if level skips came with a mandatory tutorial so I don't keep seeing tanks in the Dancing Plague who don't know how to use their tank stance.

It'd be nice if Zenos stayed dead.

It'd be nice if Gridania got some story focus for once. Feels like they've barely mattered since Ramuh. To be clear, I mean the city and its problems as a whole, not just Kan-E-Senna popping in once in a while.

It'd be nice if, now that the story is moving towards reconciliation with the beast tribes, we got some acknowledgement for those of us who completed the beast tribe rep grinds. Even if it's just, say, the major NPCs from those stories showing up as ambassadors and acknowledging us as friends.

It'd be nice if the aesthetician got expanded. Ideally, we'd be able to do just about everything except for race, clan, and gender, but just being able to change eye color, tail/ear style, and voice would be great. Not to mention the travesty that Hrothgar have to put up with.

It'd be nice if the devs just ripped off WoW's glamour log, rather than the somewhat annoying system we have now.

It'd be nice if Wondrous Tails could condense sets of raids into single entries, like it does for deep dungeons. So instead of Labyrinth, Syrcus Tower, and World of Darkness, there would be one Crystal Tower entry. Or one Alexander: Creator entry, instead of Eyes/Breath/Heart/Soul as four.

It'd be nice if the three four-player trials in ARR counted as dungeons in the weekly challenge log if they come up in roulette.

It'd be nice if we get a Sin Eater based job class sometime after 6.0
