Elemental aspects: Looking Forward

I have been fascinated with the progress the primals have been operating, and recently have been working on a simple diagram to explain what is to come:

I know this is assuming that the "large beastmen" devs have hinted at is Gigas, that "Ramuh" is the Lightning primal, and the good King Moggle Mog XII is Astral (due to his super move, which logically places odin as his opposite, assuming we have a semi-traditional, 8-element split). But all in all, it makes sense to me.

One side note i'd love to see is the Sylph stronghold equivalent- i'd like to see something completely different, namely a stronghold that you traverse vertically... as in, up the trunk of Yggdrasil, a "world tree".

I like the Idea of climbing Yggdrasil, it wouldn't hurt to be a Raven.

sylph are a friendly tribe, doubt they'll have a "stonghold", probably a city on their own.

Wish we'd get an official elemental wheel now everythings a bit all over the place.

Both Titan and Levithan are in the dats, Titan since launch and Levithan around 1.19, so they are for sure, i hope its not Ramuh tho, well maybe. I dont remember last time I saw a HD version of him haha.

The question that comes to my mind is: are you atheist?
Because if you are, you put more faith in anything and everything compared to religion. Not sure if it's a compliment then or sarcasm, haha. :P

it has been done so many different ways.....
There is wheel style... Like this game and FFXI use

There is the opposites style.. Like FFXII and Chrono Cross...
Where Air beats Earth yet earth beats air.... Fire beats water but water beats Fire... Ice beats lightning but lightning beats Ice and finally Dark beats light but light beats dark

Then there is the case by case style found in pokemon
Where water does normal damage to electricity but electricity does double damage to water... And electricity has no effect on earth. in this model... each relationship is decided upon separately...
The downside with this is certain elements usually end up more powerful than others overall

the only thing I think I really REALLY want to see... and it has become a serious possibility lately...

Perhaps the Lightning primal could be quetzalcoatl, I'd much prefer fighting a lighting bird to an old man.

lol Qiqirn and gobbies are also the only npc's that can be seen in towns outside of questlines. ;)

I'm guessing there will be lesser "primals" (For lack of a better term)
So the primal was the big deity, free company summon and the lesser one is for the summoner class

Because each element has several defining beings
Ifrit, Salamand, Belias
Leviathan, Undine, Squirtle...
Titan, Gnoma
Shiva, Leshach
Ramuh, Ixion, quetzcoatl...

I'd rather have Ixion than either Ramuh or Quetzalcoatl

Our LS was talking about this a couple weeks ago and more or less came up with the exact same prediction as OP. Some are unsure if the 'friendly' beastmen will get a primal but I think they will. Afterall, while the Sylphs have helped us figure stuff out in the main storyline, so do moogles. Moogles are by nature friendly too... So I think we WILL fight a Sylph primal. We also guessed them to be lightning...and feel the fight might be in the Moonspore Grove that is right next to their village.

there is also a faction leve at Tranquil that you fight Sylphs... they drop leaves for currency, lol.

You don't want to know where brown leaf comes from?

I'd expect half our server farming Natalan for the next week. Assuming Ixali suddenly start dropping items for access to Garuda. ;)
