chocobo gift

wonder if itll be our battle chocobo or something. well i hope its faster than the current chocos that we have.

I hope it is the beginning of colored Chocobo. Want to pair it with my first Chocobo :D
Also hoping we get a stable where we can chose our Chocobos to ride and grow them up. But nvm, its a very cool gift.

I would hope it doesn't provide any gameplay benefit aside from aesthetics. Rewarding veterans with things that helps distinguish them from new or regular players is great, as long as veterans don't get it any easier in-game than new customers.

I agree base perma advantages stink. However if they have a faster Chocobo in mind for 2.0 or so i think it would be ok.
Aslong as a mechaniclly equivilent is/will be available i'd be ok with a boost of speed.

I don't think anything faster than what we currently have is a wise idea.

I would not mind if the new chocobo mount had it's own theme song.

Well whatever it is & since its happening at 2.0 im hoping it has better fighting abilitys than normal ones. since they can join your party in 2.0

I don't see how a faster chocobo is game breaking or that much of a deal at all really.

Granted, I don't care if it's any faster or not, but really I don't think it would be a problem if it was.

I hope we can put them our chocobo gear on and use it in battle as we will with our first chocobo. I dont care if it is better or faster than our standard chocobo. When do we get chocobo breeding? As I remember we should be able to walk next to our chocobos as next step.

I want it to be faster, fight better, have better emotes, and laugh Wark Wark Wark at all the regular chocos that it leaves eating its dust.

Oh and I want it to be female. And have guns! And fly! Eat my contrails suckas!

I was a little disappointed it looks too similar, they should have made it red or blue and you could choose which colour you wanted.

Maybe they want to implement these colors anyway and with that black tipped feathers our chocobo will remain unique.

I'm just going to throw this out there...

In 2.0 all maps will be hidden and we'll have to re-explore them. Many aspects of the game will change such as a chocobo's function(s) or how players acquire them. My hunch is that players might have to re-acquire chocobos in 2.0 and that's why legacy players are getting them right off the bat as a reward for playing prior to 2.0.

Anyone else agree with this point of view?
