It would more likely be omega weapon or ultima weapon rather than ruby, FF tradition.

I bet it's the NM for the Imperial Stronghold or else some roaming NM, but I highly expect the Stronghold NM to be a mecha of some sort.

Very likely to be Ultima or Omega, probably similar to the original FFV design.

...I really see no evidence that it will be a weapon. That seems like rampant speculation, which is amusing, and fun, but why do some people seem to have a serious belief that it actually will be one?

Weapon could be anything, it seems significantly more likely we'll see an airship, or magitek armor. Honestly, I might end up eating my words, but I'm seriously doubtful it will be Ultima weapon, I think it's way too early to drop any kind of weapon into the game, the cap hasn't even raised yet.

Yeah, I'd like to see the Ultima and Omega weapons appear once the cap is raised to 90 or so. 50 is far to low for those guys.

I'm guessing we will be facing some sort of Magitek foe, or that Giant Knight in the dats and concept art.

I don't think we'll be seeing Iron Giants (the concept art you're referring to) until 2.0, and perhaps the addition of the Crystal Tower. They're an enemy that was first introduced to the series in a giant Crystal Tower, so it seems only appropriate.

There's no telling what it is yet, but I'm hoping MagiTek armor, and crossing my fingers.

Iron Giant in the dats XD so they doing sumfing (and remember, Chimera was in 2.0 screenie, but popped out faster haha).

I have no idea what it will be. They will become the next internet viral video and infect viruses into peoples brains so they start seeing 2 rainbows on a Friday.

Double Rainbow! OMG!

I doubt omega or ultima would be in lv50 content, they should be higher in my humble opinion.

But, yes it would be really cool if they bring out Ultima, Omega and including Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond weapons. That would be so much nostalgic, you can't go wrong.

Weapons would be an amazing addition, It's unlike Yoshi to keep things secret though so surely we would have heard about this if it was that.

It should definitely spawn randomly throughout the world.

What? No! Dude, random spawns are the most lame. D= No one can party up and kill it and it'll just end up slaughtering some innocent L24 Botanist.

Remember FFXI, we first fought ultima and omega in a level 50 capped fight in CoP (Airship) then later we fought the more powerful Proto-Omega and Proto-Ultima, they could do something similar to this, but I do agree that it will probably magitek armour or Iron Giant

And the problem with a mob randomly spawning on a lvl 24 bot are??? I remember the Pieste oustide Ul'dah that raped all the low lvls innocently skipping along to Black Brush for thier leves and THWACK!!!!! dead, fun times, we need that bring back for 2.0.

Because having an awesome mob spawn only to swat some poor lowbie (or worse randomly spawn where NO one sees it) is like locking up a tiger in a cage just big enough to turn around in and putting it in a basement. It's Awesome Mob Neglect!

But once the lvl 24 BOT returned they would shout "Please help, that Bayhone NM just oneshotted me, someone please kill it" and a party of lvl 50s would come and start asking questions to kill it :D

Having him be a random world spawn would be fine, if there was another more organized way to fight him. When he spawns in the world he could be a public enemy, and dealing enough damage could cause him to retreat, and reward players who participated. But if you want to kill him for good, you have to pursue him to his lair and fight him with your LS.

The world spawn would have to be done right though, him flying around in the sky, and a decent amount of foreshadowing to his arrival, and perhaps fighting some NPCs etc. And of course, some sort of method of telling players that he's appeared. Him just appearing on top of a lv24 botanist and then wandering around in a field somewhere where no one knows he is, is no fun.

As if that doesn't happen anyway. I regularly chuckle at the dying lowbies training 6 zombies because they set their leve to high. It's enough that DoL have to tiptoe around swarms of aggro mobs, why grieve them further?

Worse part of DoL is mining at Nophicas wells, when mosshorn stares at one mining node. The lowbies need to be brought into that from the second they leave town.

lol speaking of innocent ppl dying i trolled a few ppl by going afk by some lvl 80 mobs on a ramp near a low lvl camp in grid and they kept walking up dying lolz.

I've done something similar, but I won't say what it is so other people won't do it. It was mean and involved a whole PL party wiping. /shame

This is the kind of stuff that got mob de-spawning added into FFXI, and release adjusted. So many Maze of Shakrami MPKs. So many.
