If you are an NPC in FFXIV, you'd be pretty much a random soldier she'd probably spare only a second or two before moving on to something else.

But in real life she’d probably be... not on the ugly side but not out of reach for a fit ala mhigan guy with a good job and a bit of Gil.

She's far from ugly, but she's also not the kind of extraordinary beauty you'd typically see as a leading lady in an extreme fantasy setting.

In the real world, however, that combination of thin/fit and reasonably attractive puts her well above the average person. She'd be way out of your league.

She had the misfortune of being promoted in the same expansion as Yotsuyu, who has a far more striking appearance by comparison.

Or compare her to Radlia from the Mhach quests, who IMO does a much better job of pulling off the blonde bombshell look.

Granted, she's a highlander, but it's not like you can't do a better job with the midlander model than Lyse...

also, well-known internet rule is to not engage trolls? they get their jollies off by having people engage with them and their silliness, and then proceed to get worse and worse - just take a look at OPs post history.

By normal standards, she's no Minfillia but still above average.

She is pretty, but also just kind of generic. Blonde, fair skin, light eyes. All well and good but also...meh?

She falls into the "generically pretty" trap, like a lot of female NPCs in the game.

I know her character changed because of things she underwent during the story, but her personality felt way more fun as Yda. So to me now she’s generically pretty with.....kinda a brick personality.

All 14 characters look creepy to me; like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, or that Halloween movie with the exploding heads.

SE tried too hard to make everyone attractive, but it comes off as a creepy factory that manufacturers entities or something.

To me Lyse has always looked like the actress from Smallville involved in that scandal, years ago. I had to Google her name because I couldn't remember and I have no idea what she looks these days but it's Allison Mack. Lol

her nose is too long for her face and she lacks any unique features aside from her ponytail- shes the typical SE female character; lacks any unique features (no freckles, scars, moles, flushed, blemishes) a lacking personality outside of their quirky hairstyle & somewhat scantily outfit

I think what they were going for with Lyse's face was, "Approachable." Like, she's not so hot that she's intimidating, but she's not anywhere close to being ugly. I think they did a real good job on her eyes, they're unique among eye models in the game, as far as I can tell.

Also LMAO at the person who said she resembles actress Allison Mack (Khloe Sullivan - Smallville). I don't see it, but they are the same sort of character. Assertive, hotheaded, good friends with the main character etc.

Well, she's no Roegadyn, so, no, she's not pretty. I need more Merlwyb and Misija and Gunnhildr.
