Can we please have new rewards for invite friends campaign?

I love all the mounts it has to offer but they havent been updated or any new addition since like 5 yrs ago? Please let us have new mounts

There are a limited amount of gold chocobo feathers available to be had once you consider all the sources. If you used all of them for the mounts that are available you don't have much left. Maybe about enough feathers left for perhaps one more mount. For them to put more rewards into Refer a Friend they would need to add more methods of obtaining feathers. After all this time I can't see them adding anything else into the system.

I suspect the whole reason this is coming up is that the Invite-A-Friend-Back campaign they're running rewards the same gold feathers—and I think past campaigns have done the same. So for those who already have all the mounts, all that's really left to spend the gold feathers on is the dye pots.

That would be nice. Also would be nice to get new veteran rewards for days subbed. Shame you get all those rewards so early. Maybe instead of a cool new mount in the shop you could just give me a cool new mount for my thousands of days subbed? Hmmm? Wouldn't that be swell?

they stopped making veteran rewards based on amount of time subbed awhile back. it was too difficult to justify making people wait upwards of like 4-5 years for rewards.

But... they could restart the "be subbed for X days" clock, replace the veteran rewards with new things, and add the current stuff to the achievement vendor.
There are ways to make it work.

Aren't there already more feathers to spend than you are actually able to get? You already have to not get one of the 3 mounts?

You can get all the mounts but it requires waiting until one of your friends subs long enough to get the extra sets of feathers beyond the initial 5 from recruitment.

they tried a campaign to do with subbing for the falcon mount and that program did not end up performing as expected. it just created mass confusion because people couldn't figure out if they had the correct timing or not.

If they had an NPC like the one for the TT tournaments that could tell you your points towards it, that would help alleviate confusion around something like that.

That was a limited time event with a missable reward.
If they swapped out veteran rewards and put the old in the achievement vendor no one needs to panic.

Honestly, they could probably do something like "once you have all the veteran rewards, every 180 days of additional subscription time after that you get a coupon for 10% off a Mogstation purchase" or "every six months of subscription time, you get a new Veteran Token" and you could trade those tokens in for various rewards that periodically cycled, a'la the Moogle tomestone events. That way you still give something to the really long-time subscribers, but it's not specific additional rewards that someone needs to stay subbed for 4-5 years to get.

OR you could just combine things here. So you add more stuff to the Gold Feathers trade-in list (maybe even rewards that come and go on a cycle), making the feathers useful in campaigns like this... and then, since feathers could now be used to get more stuff than just three mounts and a bunch of dye pots, you give people X number of gold feathers for every six months they stay subscribed after they've gotten all the specific veteran glamour rewards.

Isn't the cap of all possible feathers 30, and there's 32 feathers worth of mounts?

No, you can get 50+ gold feathers. I've got all 3 mounts and still have 24 left, I've only recruited 5 of the 6 possible recruits so far so I could still get another 5.

Here's the full breakdown:

First 6 people you recruit give 5 feathers each (maximum of 30)
Any recruit who subscribes for 150 days gives 5 feathers (one time only)
Any recruit who subscribes for 210 days gives 5 feathers (one time only)
Any recruit who subscribes for 270 days gives 5 feathers (one time only)
Any friend who rejoins the game because you used the callback campaign on them gives you 5 feathers (one time only)

So that's 50, but there's also the server transfers:

Transfer to a new world
Transfer from congested to preferred world

Both of these will give you 10 gold feathers and seem to be repeatable, although you would have to have the exact server conditions for that to be the case (and right now for example there are no new worlds to transfer to).

I think they rather should add new rewards for the person who gets invited than the one who gives out the code. With the free trial extended to lvl 60, huge exp boni for your second jobs and almost half of all jobs start at lvl 30+, an exp buff item wich only works until lvl 25 isn't that great anymore.
