Low CP 35 durab recipes macros for Patch 5.4

The goal of this is to avoid Blood Bouillabaisse HQ entirely, but to substitute with Matcha HQ. This is good for people who struggle with getting the best stats, or for people who are not willing to chew an HQ Blood Bouil every time they craft. Matcha HQ is much cheaper and much easier to make due to its very simple ingredients and instant HQ from Trained Eye. So catering macros for Matcha HQ definitely has its perks. The drawback of my macros are LONGER than usual, but this is to compensate the fewer CP nature while offering extremely good results.

These macros are designed to use NO HQ mats. You should get at least 94% HQ rate on Specialist, and at least 90% HQ rate on non-Specialist. Any advantageous condition on touches should push them to 100%.

Basically the same 3 macros, but for Macro #3, substitute

This lowers the CP requirement from 635 to 628 CP. And if it's on "Good" condition, the Precise Touch will be carried out, while the Basic Touch is ignored. If the condition is normal, it will execute the Basic Touch instead. There will always be an error message, but it doesn't affect the craft.

Here's mine I made and currently use to function off minimum CP with my own stats, No Syrup, Non Specialist (Min- 2685 Craft, 2816 Control, 554 base CP + HQ Blood bouillabaisse)

There's a few things you can do with this macro.
-Adding HQ Syrup lets you use HQ Matcha, Non Specialist at 548 base CP
-Adding HQ Syrup lets you finish with at minimum Craftmanship by switching the second Basic Synth to Careful (requires base 555 CP to use Matcha HQ too)
-Adding 1 HQ Levinsand to Alkahests will finish with minimum Control.

I did a few Trial Syn tests today to compare our rotations.
My stats today after food and FC buff are:
2788 craft (this is vastly higher than needed for either rotation)
2806 control

All the numbers represent touches or the Byregot.
I made sure every step is "normal" condition.
Although mine achieved a tad big higher quality, I used 15 more CP, and the rotation was longer.

Honest question. Since both of you have insanely high stats (my "finished" DoH classes are hovering around 2700 craft and 2600 control), what's the point of using lower level foods? The ingredients for chili crab aren't exactly hard to obtain. Matcha is dead simple to make so I kinda understand that, but why is blood bouillabaisse even an option?

I guess these could be useful for someone who is missing a few melds, but then why design for tricked out stats and low-grade food rather than a specific stat breakpoint?

Different strokes for different folks. I use a universal set and altered finishers based on the tier and durability of my crafts, but they require a little HQ investment to prevent a failure on the Byregot Poor scenario.

The puzzle solving aspect is the only part of crafting that's ever been legitimately engaging, and a brute force solve is ridiculously easy.

Matcha's also dirt cheap so being able to utilize it is profit in the long run.

So you have both an entertainment and profit motive, but frankly, I wouldn't ever use a 3 set macro if I can avoid it.

Personally I have hundreds of Chili Crab I pre-stocked for 5.4 and just pop one of those to craft with. The rotation above I made to help out FC who couldn't get the 35 Dura rotation on the Balance to work for their stats, but it's nice too for saving on Syrup. Blood Bouillabaisse is an option because many still have a stockpile of it from 5.2/5.3 Experts.

As mentioned, the puzzle solving aspect of crafting and the part where crafters come together to theorycraft and develop rotations is what makes it truly interesting. Sadly that's been lacking ever since the crafting changes severely pruned the toolkit. The 70 Durability rotation was figured out from day one.
When designing rotations, the more options you have the better. Options for low stats and options to reward high stats (Matcha costs almost nothing on the mb). There are different rotations for all sorts of stat breakpoints.

I wouldn't call these "designed for tricked out stats". These macros are design to give the best quality with minimal craftsmanship. So regardless of what control and craftsmanship you have, as long as you have sufficient CP, they'll already be pretty much the best result you can achieve. So basically you can have your 2600 control, and these will still be the best macro rotations you can use regardless of whether you use a Chili Crab or Matcha.

As for why I still use HQ Match, that's because they're so QUICK to make! I can use up to over 1000 of them when I do the Expert Recipes for Ishgard Restoration. It is a lot easier to make 1000 HQ Matcha vs 1000 HQ Chili Crab or HQ Blood Bouillabaisse.

Also, sometimes you just have that 1 to 2 item to make, and you just don't wanna waste a Chili Crab. Then Matcha HQ can be a nice substitute.

Indeed, the puzzle solving part is the fun part... and pretty much the only fun part. If you have sufficient control stats to brute force things, then there's really no puzzle at all to solve.

Indeed, if one is doing mass-crafting for profit, Matcha HQ is more profitable in the long run. Although, if that's the case, then one should streamline a nice macro for the 70 durab item instead, and just massively make NQ ingots. That should save much more time.

I agree that 3 part macro should be avoided. That's why I believe Liam's macro is superior to mine despite giving out a tad bit less quality, especially when it uses fewer CP than mine.

No. Yours is better in many ways. Mine is only good if I wanna almost guarantee an HQ from zero quality... Let's say if I'm making a G4 Alkahest, and it produces 3, so I really don't wanna mess up. Then I'd use my own rotation. If I'm massively crafting, and don't care of 1 or 2 item goes NQ, your rotation is a hell lot better due to being just 2 parts and with fewer CP. Yeah, unfortunately FFXIVRealm is long "inactive". But I'm still on Zalera doing lots of things, including crafting, collecting glowy weapons, glamoring, hunts, dungeons, weekly normal raids and alliance raids, weekly blue mage challenges, and just general silly things, like barbecuing and skewering Moogles over fireplaces, and making puns on the FC chat... well, making puns is probably my main "job" these days, LOL! :P

Looks like your macro will succeed even with the minimum craftsmanship required for the recipe. And control only affects HQ chance, with the minimum requirement of the recipe yielding 74%. So fair enough. I got confused when you listed your own stats.

Huh. That's surprisingly expensive considering how easy they were to fish. It can't have taken more than 15 minutes to go through 30 squid strips, even with all the animations for casting the line and reeling in the catch, and I got 20 or so crabs. That was multiple weeks ago and I still haven't run out.

Then again I don't mass-craft. I still have unsold stock from Thursday and the prices for the items have fallen from 1 million to 400k or less. I probably won't be crafting any more exarchic items for sale, so I don't expect to have to go fishing for crabs more than once during the remainder of the expansion.

Kagura's rotation on the far right. Data collected at 2806 control. Looks like it gives even less quality than your rotation (middle), but it uses 1 fewer CP, and 4 fewer steps. And when talking about massive crafting, 4 steps is a big deal. Indeed, Kagura's rotation trumps us all when in practice for mass-crafting.

I'd earned a lot more gil from crafting Zurvan weapons than Exarchic gear... especially when Zurvan weapons take much shorter time to make. Exarchic gear here is already like 295K a piece... it's not quite worth selling anymore when considering the time spent on gathering.

Absolute maximum Control possible, while maintaining the minimum Craftsmanship and CP to complete the rotation. The displayed numbers are off since Teamcraft hasn't updated their algorithms to adjust for the 4-star difficulty yet, but in-game testing has shown 2739 to be the absolute minimum Craftsmanship this rotation will work at. The actual quality is around 1k or so less than what is shown, so expect 54k~ ending quality. This isn't enough to 100% HQ, but it is enough to 100% HQ with just one HQ cheapo mat, no matter what piece you're making (2639 is the lowest amount of starting quality you can have with 1 HQ mat).

And when I say absolute maximum stats I mean max. This is with both Grade III FC buffs, specialist and HQ Cunning Syrup. There is another configuration that uses HQ Commanding Syrup instead, but funnily enough after adjusting your CP and Craftsmanship to match the new requirements it comes out to the exact same max Control of 2957. The only way we will be 100%'ing these without any HQ mats is if the final Skysteel tool is i510 with five 100% melds, and based on my estimates that would still be a few hundred points shy of 100% HQ. If the Skysteel tool somehow ends up being the same max ilevel as the relic weapons (i535) then that would be enough to 100% HQ 4-star gear. But that is highly unlikely.

Did you take into account that the items require levinstrike aethersand, and from what I can tell it can only be collected as HQ now? NQ is available for white gatherer's scrips, but I'm pretty sure collecting it directly is more efficient than farming 300 white scrips for one aethersand. And the HQ version is only 50 scrips more. For a while there might still be NQ from before 5.4 being sold, and I suppose someone might buy it with scrips and put on the MB, but it seems to me that HQ aethersand should be readily available.

Huh really? I admit, I haven't bothered to actually gather any sand...cuz gathering sand has always been super annoying to me. If one assumes you will always have HQ sand, then the lowest starting HQ you can have have is 3116.

For now, I'm assuming that only getting HQ Aethersand from reduction is a bug that will be fixed. It's definitely helping with quality requirements in the meantime.

For max collectability, I would agree it's intentional.

It doesn't sound like it's the intention at any collectability though but that seems to be what's happening. Even if I don't push to 1000, I've always gotten HQ if an Aethersand is produced since the patch release.

They really need to sit back and think about their design choices for crafting and gathering. If things are intended to only be yielded as HQ, what's the point of having the differentiation between NQ and HQ? Might as well remove HQ as a separate quality then reduce the quality requirements for recipes by like amounts.

1k always grant at least 1 HQ sand (up to three without bonus, 6 with it based on my own experience). Lower than that is RNG and I personally have got HQ sand from stuff with only 450 from time to time. Seems collectability controls chance and number but it's always going to be HQ. It's either a bug or a translation problem.

Personally, I think is the second option.

Just came back from a long break right now I have over melded facet gear.
Is the white scripts gear III gear better or should I try to make the crafted gear?

The i500 scrip gear is worse than Aesthete even with basic melds. If you're serious about crafting you should get Aesthete gear and do at least modest overmelds. I typically meld V or VI in the first overmeld slot and IV in next two slots, because that keeps the failure chances manageable.

Sadly I spent most my gil right before my break(thanks COVID-19) I can buy atleast one peice atm. Should I be able to craft it with my facet gear or would the ilvl be better for crafting it? My craftsmanship is 2574 and control is 2384

You can craft it yourself with Facet gear. Your stats are somewhat skewed towards craftsmanship, but with control food and a decent rotation you should be able to reliably make HQ pieces.

Yea gotta say the test crafting is a insane Qol change. I managed to make the weaver relic this morning but the only difference is the +6 CP compared to the script one. It seems like overmelding the new crafted one can still be better if you can afford it.

Don't forget that when crafting the final equippable item you'll likely have several HQ components, which is something trial synthesis doesn't let you set (at least AFAIK). Conversely, the higher quality you can achieve with NQ components, the less you have to worry about HQ when crafting the components.

For the tools specifically, relics and scrip items can be a decent choice because the stats are actually pretty good and the Aesthete items only have one guaranteed meld slot. On the left side Aesthete will easily beat scrip gear even if you don't overmeld. Right side is a bit so-so thanks to the set bonus on the scrip gear and the limited guaranteed meld slots on Aesthete gear. On the other hand if you use materia I-VI for overmelding it can be done pretty cheap and still get better stats than the scrip gear.

Ok cool. Yea my right side I got really lucky with melds at the moment I have 601 cp with food/drink I can get to 80-90% with nq in testing but its cutting it very close

That's 80-90% HQ chance for the equippable item, with all NQ materials? That means you'll be able to craft the majority of the components as HQ, which will easily bridge the gap and give 100% for the gear piece.

I'm not sure how your 70D rotations look, but interestingly enough if you are willing to go down the route of exclusively using Matcha, and utilizing HQ Alkahest, as well as HQ Levinstrikes (Which you should technically be in abundance of), then you can actually cut out the need for Syrup (and/or spec) entirely on 70D, whilst maintaining Matcha, thus cutting out both Blood B/Chili Crab entirely, using the following:

..for that purpose myself, which functions at 608 CP but has a higher step count. Lower step count is always preferable so I'd use yours, but it's an option for anyone just short on CP.
