Yoship said he wanted to try and get it out late april recently (so we should expect it early to mid may, if we've learned anything) but we've already gotten info about amoire, materia, and a smidgen about garuda.
Patch will likely be on the 26th/27th. If not, then May 3rdish
I wouldn't strictly adhere to the timeline tbh, it's more like a expected release date than a deadline. considering 1.21 pushed them back about three or four weeks being within a week or two of this patch's expected release date would mean they're catching up.
I would guess right before Golden Week. However, we may see some of the 1.22 content delayed (doubt they would delay Garuda, just whatever else there is). Looking at past sneak peeks of patches they tend to release them a week or two before the actual patch.
I hope it's not out until June....I still don't have the Ifrit/Moogle weapons I want. T_T
pretty sure the pdf says mid-late April.
Has there ever been a patch that actually came out on time? Seriously? The answer is obvious.. just ignore dates/time for now on, otherwise you'll end up hating the game even more.
says mid april actualy
which is close enough with what we are looking at right now
after all they dont start pushing out the lodestone previews and such until they have the patch near ready.
but in the end, the fact your asking if its late when yoshi has already responded to this tells us you didnt even check anything to begin with....good for you on wanting other people to do the legwork for you
The PDF says mid April which is now.
Also he said most likely the af weapons will be delayed and come out in 1.22a :/
Delays delays and more delays...wheee
This is how things are. Its very realistic and common. What is uncommon is for us to be told about their internal timelines and to be given this level of transparency. What is more common is to tell us nothing then go: Voila!
So you could choose: Be told nothing until it's delivered, or be given honest insight into what they are working on and how it is comming along (good and bad).
Maybe they should have a contest to see who can guess the correct day and time that patch 1.22 will be released ?
All the other mmo I've played haven't had delays this much. I can't even name one off the top of my head o.o
They announce patch and then it always came out on time :) also yeah they weren't released unfinished. This games delays don't really bother me atm. No big deal :) however if after 2.0 if there are this much delays...then I dunno...
Am I the only one who read the last letter of the producer/thought to quote it?

As for the all-important release date for 1.22, we’re aiming to have it go live at the end of April, ahead of the holiday period in Japan known as Golden Week. The whole team is running full tilt to meet this objective.
Yoshi just needs to under-promise and over-deliver...
I would have told people 1.22 will come out right before E3.... and then when it comes out a month early... people would be like "WOW, they must be doing something right"
Its not an issue of how hard their working, or delays or patch dates...
Its about PR...
and right now... Bad PR is bad
Problem with that is, once he does it once or twice people start expecting it. When people start expecting it and shit hits the fan and he delivers it at his original estimated time, instead of being early people go into a frenzy complaining "Well he could do it before so why can't he do it all the time, we want it now like the ungrateful bigots we are."
The fact Yoshi and his team even communicates with estimates, info, and data on a regular basis is a Godsend compared to the crap people put up with on the FF11 forums. He doesn't pull the surprisingly ultra-vague, poorly worded, highly misinterpreted info, while flipping even the JP community the bird like Tanaka and his team tends to pull. And I therefor am Thankful Yoshi and his team are being so upfront about delays, info, and such.
It's gonna be late as usual.
Also: I am drunk.
Probably will be. Honestly it won't bother me that much after the whole thing with 1.21 though.
I figure right now we should be happy with what we get, the investment we pay is still worth more than paying for SWTOR so we can smile and sit back. After 2.0, any lateness not well exchange can be subject to bitchy entitlement. I feel like the only reason why we complain is due to the fact they are being transparent about the process, in XI i would be completely taken back by version updates, I know its not right per se, but lets just say its a start, and hopefully they'll get "there" someday, it took time for everyone.
I'd already be happy with the poll results and a letter commenting them.
Yup its the 27th.
Letter and poll results on 23rd.
I think if he did want to delay, I feel like he would of said something by now. I have a funny feeling things are going on schedule, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed a week or two.
It looks on time for me?

Or am i looking at it wrong?
Without fail, we have never had a patch arrive at the earliest given date in the past year or so. It's best to just accept them as "best case scenario" dates and adding 2-4 weeks to it.
I doubt 1.22 comes out in April if they're "hotfixing" tomorrow. Why wouldn't they push all the changes at once? With Golden Week coming we're looking at 2nd week in May best case.
We should have more word when the producer letter hits this week.
Also i was expecting muttering of the dread phrase delayed would start soon. I swear you can almost set your watch by the trends on these boards.
