What to do mid patch cycle?

The FFXIV patch cycle is pretty predictable and eventually with enough playtime you'll run out of content. What are you(the community) doing mid patch to combat burn out?
Myself I have Minecraft, stardew valley, used to play cod or battle field, play some fresh titles like when dark souls 3 came out. But now its stating to get a little stale. Like is the runescape mobile version any good? Do some of the community bounce between eso, wow, gw2 and other mmos? Isnt that one mobile game for pc/consoles very popular, genshin impact? Is being a forum warrior of trolling enough for some?

I'm mostly keeping myself busy learning different classes from the one I am usually playing and trying them out in savage.
Another option would be farming mounts, partake in hunts or progressing contents like Ultimate to kill time, if you want to stick to FF14

Personally I also love to keep myself busy on my guitar or play differing games on the side. Though currently running a raid academy with the FC keeps my hands full busy

I mean we might be further along but covid. I just sell levekits and stream ac valhalla

Craft to make Gil, Roleplay, gather fish, help my friends level up, craft stuff for them, level up my classes, level up my ALTS classes, etc.
There's plenty of stuff one can do.

TBH play other games. I'm also playing Eve Echoes, The Witcher 3, and Assassin's Creed atm. Logging in like once every 2 weeks to keep the house off demo timer as it's being put back in and being able to post here, which I log into more than the game itself these days lol...

Play another game.

I like to consider FFXIV my "home" game but it is nice sometimes to get out of home :)

I've been catching up on other games after I finish the weekly tomes. Gonna try to get through Mass Effect Andromeda before the Trilogy Legendary Edition comes out.

I work on my Let's Play for FFXIV currently. Though I actually don't have all of my main's jobs leveled to max. I tend to first bounce between leveling alts during patch lulls and ERPing on Balmung. Do that a lot less now, since the alts I care about hit 80 and my FCs on the other DCs I play on don't need a helping hand.

Other than that, I replay old games like FF1, Phantasy Star II, IV, FFVI, and Lufia. I don't worry or feel burnout much these days though, honestly. Not as much time to game as I used to have, and I only really get to this forum when there's downtimes at work.

Lord willing, if I ever get a PS5 I'll get a playthrough or two of the Demon's Souls remake done. Kind of jonesing for it, but I am not gonna pay a scalper just so I can get to it asap.

Looking at achievements, or just playing on al characters and socializing

Catch all the fish, craft all the things, win all the raids (both present and past), make all the relics, do all the quests, furnish all the household, PvP all the n00bs, collect all the glamours, and whatever else you can think of that might be out-of-the-box.

The game has plenty of content. I've been playing since ARR release, and I've never had the time to do all the things I want to do in game; I never run out of content, not mid-patch or any other time.

Perhaps not all of these things are things you're interested in doing - but SOMEONE out there is. The game provides enough content; it's up to you if you want to partake of it.

I've got fisher to 80 and thats just to be self sufficient with crafting, so no to big fishing. I am also not an achievement hunter so no crafting every item for the shiny weapons. I don't do current raids because i'd rather eat glass than grind one trial set for months. I am going at my own pace for current relic tiers. I am actually pretty close to having all the side quest done. I have a fully furnished large FC house, a medium personal, FC room and apartment that i crafted most of the items in. Pvp needs help in ffxiv. I have a nearly full glamour dresser... And for some of the others things. I do have all 80s plus maxed blu and i dont wanna erp or run the MSQ from 1 again. Did the unreal trial enough times. I have all the beast tribe but the last one maxed, which I do when I log in.

I normally do run out of stuff mid patch. Either because some of it is burn out content or i have it done at max. Like Gil grinding is burn out content.

I did run into more or less the same issue in ShB. I finished all the stuff I was interested in and am just wasting my time atm doing basically nothing. Back in Stormblood I would just run content for the sake of playing a certain job, either to get better at it or just because they were fun to play.

I don't know what it is about ShB jobs but I simply don't enjoy playing most of them this time.
So it pretty much boils down to playing a different game.

Dailies, mount farm, maps, helping friends and newbies with anything. Bozja, leveling alts.
