Anyone know what rings are influenced by?

As in magical craftsmanship or just craftsmanship? Or... is it irreverent?

No, they will be either regular or magical crafting, and as result will benefit from either magical craftsmanship or craftsmanship. Which are they? I don't know. The game itself does not tell you which crafting recipes are "magical". None of the reference sites I go to have this information. The only way to find out is do enough of that craft with each stat maxed out and observe the difference; if anybody's done that, they haven't posted the results to the fan sites that I've seen.

I would imagine they differe, electrum I would imagine is craft and black pearl I imagine is magic, since they have melee stats/mage stats

Actually, to shed some light on the question I once heard a rumor that magic craftsmanship is for success while craftsmanship is for quality. I decided to screw around with this on carp, bsm, arm, gsm, and alchemy. I varied the synths and spent only about an hour or two with each and, after screwing around, found the rumor to appear true. Then again, who knows with this game?!

That's just my experience with some shallow testing.

but this contradicts with dev posts, and in game description, seems a bit off the in game description to be wrong.

The dev post was from forever ago (if you are referencing what I think you are.) Either way, it was just my experience and the odds are that, based on the randomness that this game seems to possess, I could probably retest the exact same way and end up with different results!

I wish they would either state what they are or do away with the over complicated formula.

No, there's a tool tip that tells you it affects regular or magical crafting. There's no tooltip to show what it actually does--i.e., which recipes are normal and which are magical.

I was more referring to Yves post of saying that they don't do that but one effects quality the other effects success

stack craftmanship 24/7 with control were you cant put craftsmanship (earring) and then if a synth seems harder than usual its M.Craft :P

What they should do is actually make the differences worth a damn. The only reason not many people know which crafts are craftmanship or magic craftmanship si because you see basically **** all difference between the two when synthing!

All rings are magical craftsmanship based.
