Another year without Rainmaker Hairstyle

Not even surprised it didn't make it into the event but come on SE. Put the hairstyle into the mogstation/online shop already. I WANT to give you money lol.

I didnt play in 2017, I was so excited to maybe get my hands on it and was left disappointed :c
I want SE to take my money x.x

Yeah I was excited about it during last year's event, since I had started playing the game that year and it was my first time with the event, and had looked up that the hairstyle was available a previous year or two, but it wasn't added.... and I was less hopeful this year but still disappointed. I don't really care what I have to do for it I just want it :'^(

Yeah, I imagine a lot of players started in Shadowbringers and don't have the hair. I'd jump to pay for it on the Mog Station. I have no standards left, I'm just desperate for a pitiful friend of mine to have it. It's been three years.

Same! This thing would make bank, in either part of an attire or just on its own.
I dont understand why its being withheld when its clear so many want it x(
Fair few on the ffxiv subreddit quite disappointed too.

I've been playing for 7 years, but every time I've taken a break, I miss something limited that just refuses to come back, this hairstyle included. I was really hoping. :(

Please bring back this hairstyle!

Don't want more on the shop, but at least that would be a decision.

Thought this would be the turning point for it to be added, seeing as they said rewards from the previous versions of the event would be available...

Every year I get excited that I may get rain maker hairstyle and every year SE disappoints me. Regarding events SE doesn't care about what we want...here take a stupid emote ...bah

Didn't they say there would be things from past events available? I didn't see anything new aside from the Mining/Logging games.

C’mon Square. Looking at the way y’all have released the previous rewards, the Sabotender emote should have been next year! Missing the hairstyle again is one thing, but skipping it for the other less enticing reward??? I don’t get that at ALL.

At the very least, is there a reason why it’s not showing up?? Can someone push this or..

Why do they refuse to give people a second chance to get it when they do it for every other event reward?

Is this hair tied to some Collab with some other 3rd party and they simply don't have the rights to add it in the game again? What is the deal here?

I was dumb and got my hopes up over it coming back. I am now very sad and it's my own fault.

Probably not. I’m sure they’ve used the hairstyle on NPCs even after the event somewhere, and as much as I’ve dug up, its original to the game. It looks similar to like.. one or two different non-Square Enix characters but its not like that even means anything.

You can just go to the Gold Saucer to play those game machines, so I don't get why you'd want them in your house (and pay 200k Gold Saucer points for it).

Same here. I came back to the game quite late, and when I found out about the hairstyle I was excited to get it. Sadly, it seems SE doesn't even want my money cause it's not even on the mog station for crying out loud! Would it kill them to at least make a hairstyles tab and add some to purchase?

Tbf for my fc I have these machines set up on our top floor to simulate a sort of arcade/chill area, because a lot of us grew up near some and we thought it would be a cool thing.
But I get you. Hair, fashion, and minions are more accessible to everyone.

I'm actually okay with the hairstyle being limited. It's one of the few things in this game you actually had to be there for and it adds an extra special feeling to it.

Yeah, it does seem rather shady to withhold it without even giving the excuse that they wanted it to be one of a kind, especially cosnidering the only items to have that privilege were 1.0 items and extra-company collaborations (even then one of which happens on a frequent enought basis to consider discounting)

If any moderator, or source-to-tell, does so happen to read these forums, may you please relay the message so we can atleast get some
confirmations and a few words for the hairstyle's future, as it's being seen as unavailable, year-after-year.

It genuinely doesn’t make sense. I can understand why the Cloud Strife hairstyle was limited (art reward or something) and the meteor survivor stuff, like Wind-Up Dalamud. I’d love to have it but that’s fine given context. This is not a limited item. There’s no rhyme or reason to it— its like they decided to do this at random. Which is infuriating cause I was waiting for this event close to when I started the game.

You all act like SE / FFXIV have ever brought anything back from prior seasonal events (if so it's an extremely small number).

You get one chance to be playing when it drops and if you're not playing you pay for it via the mogstation. And you never know when it will go to the mogstation. Could take 6 months, could take years.

Moslty because A: putting it on the mogstation counts in that it makes the items accessible again and B: they DID legit bring back events beofe, like a few weeks back they did Yo-Kai, XI and DQX events the former of which is still ongoing and the later 2 of which and XIII was reran at least once.

Nope, that hair style is from a character (Sice) in FF Type-0 so there should be no issues there.

not sure why they cant just add it to mogstation, considering they added last years Halloween mount and poster
is rainmaker cursed or something? is there some magical spell on it that prevents from being sold? they could've atleast sold it on the mogstation but apparently its too hard to put it up

I’m fairly certain that at this point, aside from events that have only appeared once (FF15 and Garo) everything has made a return in some sense except for like.. titles. The Spriggan jacket, the moonfire happis, swimsuits, etc. It has less to do with the fact that it’s gone, but why it’s just this and nothing else that was available during the Make it Rain event. If all the items were retired yearly, fine, I get it. But there’s no post or anything even remotely resembling a hint as to what happened to it. I like the Mogstation. I’ll buy full outfits just for the shoes, and definitely don’t mind it going up. What I do mind is the fact that there is no easily discernible reason why the hairstyle couldn’t go up along with the emote.

Rainmaker was the only reason I was excited for this event. T.T I don't know if I even care about doing it now, I'm so disappointed. I started playing a year and a half ago, so I wasn't around for the original event. I want the rainmaker hair so much, I don't understand why they won't just put it in the online store. I'd happily buy it.

Isn't the answer obvious?
It is a hairstyle and there is Viera and Hrothgar.
Bring this back is like SE devs trying to start on right in NA/EU on themselves.
It is not like it is an outfit or a furniture where useable by all races.
This hairstyle was made before Viera and Hrothgar

Also add Starlight Barding.
