Is it griefing to ignore my FC invite?

I didn't think it was a thing but apparently it is. People are ignoring FC invites for some reason. Hopefully the devs can fix this issue somehow :/

It's griefing to spam invite people who don't want it.

Well, some..

..don't want to to join an FC at all
..are being spammed by FC invites pretty thiccc and yes, if you are without an FC, there usually - depending on server - pops an invitation like every damn 3 minutes
..might've just left an "amazing" FC and yeah, just no.
..are not fans of ninja invites

Ignoring a Invite cannot be considered griefing.

Is naming yourself after a graphics card I cannot afford griefing? Because it's rubbing it in my face. What can SE do about that?

I have edited my post because I realise by posting my graphics card somebody else might find I am griefing them.

Speaking of griefing when are the mods going to crack down on the constant troll topics/threads turning these forums to shit?

Doesn't the invite auto cancel after a time?

If not, does it prevent other invite from coming through? Asking for a friend...

It does have an invite timer like any other invite. Not sure if it blocks any other FC invite or not as it's a different invite pop up than an LS or party invite.

Most likely because, in the grand scheme of things, he's completely harmless. The moderators only seem to intervene when there's explicit rule breaches. Much like in a court of law, intent has to be proven and the threads themselves are worded vaguely enough to get by without punishment. As for those who have recognised certain patterns? They're free to avoid responding altogether in favour of keeping more engaging threads active instead.

Though I won't hold my breath, since many of the same people pop up in every thread to give the exact same reaction each time. It's hard not to think they secretly enjoy the 'drama'.

It is never griefing to ignore an FC invite, but issuing an FC invite can be considered griefing in some cases.

I think the common theme in this thread is; Don’t spam FC invites. It’s annoying. I consider it to be the same as those people standing in supermarket doorways and trying to hand you a leaflet about God.

Don’t force something upon someone, if they wanted it, they’d look for it.

Do it more, maybe they'll give in and accept the invite then.

I ignore/decline ALL invites that being sent blind. Talk to me and sell me on the FC if you want me to join it.
