So, i've been in queue for that alliance raid already over 1 hour. Doesn't it get filled with people in roulette queue? Then it shouldn't take that long. But how come it never gets filled?
I just want to reach Dun Scaith raid, so i can get the gear there. But unfortunately, i am blocked from getting the gear cause of queue time. It's disgusting not getting the gear I want to collect, just because I can't get through the quest line.
Please SE fix this. Either make the diabolic gear buyable from an NPC, or do something about queue time.

They can't really do anything about the queue time But there are a couple factors that can play into that.
First we have Bozja which was just released and pulling a whole lot of the player base away from all other content. The other factor is what time you are queueing. If you are queueing in the "dead zone" times, which is usually late nights to early afternoons when people are generally sleeping and working, everything is going to take longer. Esp on a weekday Try queueing up in prime time and it should be quick(er). -

Well then you may be suffering just from Bozja being new. it will settle down soon, but those are the punches you role with in an MMO I'm afraid. New content will always eclipse the older stuff, especially when ppl enjoy it.
They will release the crafted versions at some point, we just got the yafaemi, so the diabolic won't be far off. -

Welcome to Alliance raids, thanks to ARR raids being very short and mandatory for the story other alliances get the short end of the stick. Ever since 5.3 released I never got a non ARR raid when I was leveling my DRG and BLM and I did the roulette every day for maybe close to a month.
It sucks and nothing will likely be done, they're quick but get really boring after days on end, and hamper the queue times of other raids as you said. Only two solutions I see would be to make the roulette a minimum of lvl 60 with the IL for at least Void Ark, or spilt the raids into two roulettes, a 60/70/80 one, and a ARR. -

That's the case not only for Wiping City but other old alliance raids. I was once queuing for Ridorana for Khloe's book. I was doing other stuff while waiting then went to eat dinner and came back. I had totally forgotten I was queuing for something when I went to eat, and when I got back and looked at the timer, it was well over 120 minutes. Needless to say, I withdrew from the duty to queue for something else and actually play.

Yes people strip off their gear to guarantee they get the Crystal Tower raids, however there are just as many people queueing for Alliance Roulette who are below level 60 anyway, due to the roulette being one of the best for EXP so it's used for levelling alt jobs.
If you end up with even one player who is below level 60, then every person who stripped off their gear did so for no reason at all.
If they did implement something to remove the ability to 'cheese' the item level, the difference would be negligible.
For example, if we assume the current chances are something like; ARR 80%, HW 10%, SB 7%, ShB 3%.
Then this restriction would likely only bring it down to about; ARR 75%, HW 12%, SB 9%, ShB 4%.
Basically, the actual levels of the characters queuing, and what raids those players have actually unlocked, will still be a bigger factor.
SE have the stats, so they will know this, and likely don't believe the result would be worth the effort required to 'fix' this. -
10-20-2020, 07:25 PMVyrerusActually the later 24 mans net more EXP due to the bosses granting more direct EXP which is affected by EXP enhancing buffs like Heat of Battle and Food. The level 60 raids in particular are quite hefty for total EXP gained when compared to the Crystal tower set, due to this, particularly Dun Scaith (over 600k for Diabolos Hollow, 250k for Queen, 150k for Ferdiad, and 100k for Deathgaze). Obviously we could get into splitting hairs over EXP per unit time, but the level 60 raids are outgeared and out potency'd in much the same way as the Crystal Tower set, they just have a higher chance of actually killing people, thus slowing the run down somewhat.Quote:

higher grant more xp but they take 20-25% longer to do in general, and that is if you do not wipe to them.
The first 2 are just brain-dead easy and can be zerged through literally ignoring most fight mechanics. 2nd boss of Crystal Towers for example... how many people see the jumping platforms part of that fight... or even know they exist. Another one is how many groups have you seen operate the lightning tower things in the KB fight in Lab. Now compare that to say weaping city or the more recent raids... if people ignore mechanics in those its probably a raid wipe or at least a full party wipe.
It is all about XP/HR. The increased boss XP does not come close to matching the lost time. The harder ones should Scale up to be more xp. Aka if it is takes 25-30 mins on average for a higher lvl raid and lab takes 15-20 you should get ~40-50% more overall xp to warrant the increased time you spent and difficulty for the raid. In my opinion that is the only real fix to the problem. -

Try making a party finder and advertise it as unsync glam farm. You only need minimum 3 people (1 in each alliance, A, B and C). I've farmed old ally raids that way for gear.

Glaysa Labolas' primary mechanic is that he will release a alliance wiping enrage blast if he ever fully charges. There is supposed to be a phase where he starts charging up with 6 tethers speeding up the charging unless 3 robot adds are used to redirect the tethers. Redirecting the tethers and defeating the adds will activate jump pads that will allow the various parties to dodge the enrage by jumping to the external platforms. Killing all the adds on the platforms will allow the alliance back on to the central platform to finish the fight.
