Accidentally NPCed my dated iron magnifiers (red)

I was selling off dated walnut masks and I accidentally sold my [item=8010830]dated iron magnifiers (red)[/item]. They're practically impossible to get now because they require a material that only drops from level 99 goblins. I tried the in game GM support, but they told me that it "falls outside the scope of their services".

I need these glasses, they are symbolic of my entire existence. (Please assist.)

Yea I doubt you would have been able to take them over to 2.0 anyway.

I guess they will have a recipe to replace them in the next couple of patches.

You should be able to take dated items over to 2.0 they just won't be able to be crafted anymore lol. Though I"m kind of curious why are that head piece so important? Wouldn't http://mooglebox.com/entries/felt-beret.php be able to replace them at 48 lol. Or is it just for appearance?

Off-Topic but oh well.. Fusional I see your 1712 Howling Fist, what were you using if I may ask, never have I seen mine go that high.. and I take an elitist approach towards gear progression etc, I have all double melds for gear also, but curious how you got that?

Mostly, yes. They look badass and I like having things that drop from level 99 mobs that you can't easily kill anymore. Because I'm fucking hardcore and elitist as fuck.

you'll want to be at or near proposed INT cap (~310) and about 40 under proposed STR cap (~350), then stack as much attack and crit attack as possible. mega-potion of str should take you the rest of the way to str cap + giving more attack. then just buff howling fist with blood for blood and blindside and watch for big numbers.

my crits with pot (first howling fist) are around 1640-1700, and without it (second howling fist) they're around 1480-1600

I guess if you want them back, maybe you need to do a ls 'lets go kill some level 99 gobbies for lolz' event. People usually have fun doing it if for no other reason than that you can do it with more than 8ppl...and it's something different that 'which primal/dungeon today?'

Drops from Aurum Vale chest(s) if I'm not mistaken.

as i understand it, the Dated items will be completely removed by 2.0 and the recipes to make more by 1.3. So it's for the best really. You can get used to not having them before your local Eorzean Optician yanks them away and says they're not good for your eyes.

If mooglebox doesn't have a source for it, it's from one of the regular chests in one of the new dungeons. You can also buy them on the wards since they are tradeable.

Sorry to hear you lost your item. But you do have to click on the item 2-3 times to complete the sale. So I would suggest you pay more attention to what you do next time. Dont rush things.
