She looks awesome. I wish we got the video preview for garuda before this video though.

I wonder if they are hinting at patch 1.22 coming on 23rd? Or on the 27th as patches are on the thursday/friday

Have to admit I'm loving that Garuda design, and her voice. Her laugh was just awesome. I like boss fights like this because it makes the battle feel more alive.

She sounds so vicious and looks epic, very excited, sad to see it looks like Gridania, was hoping we'd get one in Limsa (could be wrong tho). Like the hint lol but that is the same thing they said about Moogle, and it was killed 3 days faster.

EDIT: Infact I am pretty sure its Coerthas now, which is freaking epic, love that zone!

Yoshi did say he wants the patch out before Golden Week, so 26th seems like the probable date.

And as for this contest, I appreciate SE doing silly and off-the-cuff things with the community. But posting this same thing prior to 1.20 for Moogles got me a three hour ban. Just saying, mixed messages and all.

I like so much this kind of forum events ^.^

Its either out in grid or up in coerthas. Remember that ixtal area up there that they have had tucked away in the dats for a while?

Ya know speaking of that they are really loading that zone up with "End game" content. Its almost like there getting ready for ishgard to be the high end hub or something.

Any plans to ever make the story not a joke Square? The high level version SHOULD be the fight itself, not this low level crap. What is Nael van Darnus going to be a level 30 mob when he get released?

I think they should cap the lvl 30 one so its a challenge.

The event sounds fun, but I'm worried about the rewards?
We getting charms/totems -> headdresses

Does that mean we can expect the lot system to be total Ass again?

Also, i don't think they said mogs were going to be tougher than Ifrit, if I recall correctly they only said it would be another kind of "difficult"

When it comes to the primal fights, i love the fights. I hate the half assed loot system there going with.

This is Final Fantasy XIV. Expect a 30 feet path up a mini stump in the ground that leads to an aetherial portal that will transport us atop something like Everest.

I think the Moogle one was a bit silly due to the exploit, but even so, it was only a few hours until it was killed without it. So prolly wouldnt make much difference.

What annoys me is they said Moogle was supposed to be harder than Ifrit, or is Ifrit just hard (at that time) due to the latency and not knowing how to deal with it.

So while their hint says "its harder" which means jackshit now.

The hint should of been weather "theres is/is not environment actions" and then our guesses would scale from few hours to a day or so due to latency XD

Moogle is harder than Ifrit imo. It was just due to nobody was expecting animation lock timing needed to part of the strategy for Ifrit. But mechanic wise, Ifrit was a joke compare to Moogle, you could carry 2-3 newpeople and win ifrit. It's tough to carry people in Moogles.

Keep in mind this is the first Primal released after implementing Jobs.

ITT: content difficulty pre-2.0 is defined by the crappy server/engine FFXIV is built around - not actual hard content.

Waiting for someone to pull a "Price is Right" move on someone.

Ixal are Gridania's enemy though and there many encampments in Grid.

That being said the stronghold is in Coerthas so I agree it's most likely to be there.

About that, according to what lore there is on that subject the reason you see ixtali in the shroud is there sneaking in with there baloon fleet and chopping down trees.

the bird men are also the reason you see yarzon in the shroud. but that's kind of beside the point.

they should put the camp in the back of the Sh so you have to fight to get to it, and remove entrance tokens.
