Screenshots of 2.0... (Can I Have It?)

Greetings!

Seeing as they've been running 2.0 clients on the shop floor since the end of January, as seen from the Letter from the Producer, could we possibly get some screenshots of the 2.0 client running?

No I'm not asking for video, because I know a video isn't going to come until E3, but is it too much to ask for a couple of actual screenshots (concept art doesn't count!) of the 2.0 client in action? At least this would calm the masses until E3 in 2 months. It literally takes 2 minutes to pull a couple of screenshots & post them on the forums.

At least a dev. response of if/when we can expect to see 2.0 screenshots would be appreciated! Also, I'm not looking for the generic & vague "Due to current server structure issues it will have to wait until 2.0" Rukkirii response... but something a little more in depth.

You'll probably have to wait until June's E3.

Or maybe a little after 1.22, I'd imagine.

I asked for previews of the zone revamp and they confirmed we will see the new zones in action before the E3 Preview.

I am also under the impression that the zone revamp requires 2.0, so that will kill 2 birds with one stone.

That's good news! Golden week is coming up here in 2 weeks so I suppose we'll see 1.22 drop before then (assuming the team take time off) and maybe a 2.0 preview the following week.

I doubt 1.22 will be done before they get their week long break in. Not with what they've been saying lately.

When I saw the German Post about Ragnarok Transfers, I thought maybe 1.22 be out in a week or so, because their original 2.0 timeline stated release of 1.22 end of this month, we've also had some responses from devs about 1.22 confirmations as well as official lodestone news posts. It all added up.

But what doesnt make sense, is they were 3 weeks behind on 1.21, how did they suddenly, manage to get that time back to be able to get the next patch out in less than 2 months, kudos if it happens but I it seems very difficult to believe they got 3 weeks delay back on schedule.

So I think 1.22 be after week holiday and then we will maybe get told what will be at e3, as its only 6 weeks from now.

Considering their staff, it's not hard to imagine that they've been working on multiple projects simultaneously. It's very likely that the bulk of 1.22's content was already finished by 1.21's release, and just needed tweaking, balancing readjustments, and playtesting.

Would love to see some new Black Shroud screens.

We dont know that, (and the Dats say otherwise :O)

Plus, if your a programmer and know it takes 3 months to do a patch, but you delay and now it takes 3m 3w then thats -3w from the next cycle you do, somewhere they managed to get that 3 week back. :O

Sayign that, there is no major overhauls this patch, just mianly content, so a little easier on the team.

They can withhold things they're working on from the .dats until its ready to go in the game. That said, I otherwise I agree with you.

Premi remember that they have work groups. What was holding them with .21 was the class quest stuff. that means that the other teams were free to work ahead.

But I understand your pessimism as I share it, my hope is paradoxical that we will see it when there stating.

I've kind of already lost interest in patch notes and any updates. I just want a working game without the bugs and without the lags... if we have to wait til 2.0, then please, no more updates, no more patches, nothing else until 2.0

If anything fix what you plan to salvage, SE.

Well a post was just made by Yoshi about E3 & 2.0... so hopefully can get a translation of said post and know when to expect said updates on 2.0.

SE already said it will be shown in E3. They want to make sure they have more steadily in place to show the new engine. Not simply what couls be, but what it will be.

Hard to believe it's been half a year already since 2.0's announcement :O

The latest post by Yoshi suggested to me that we will get more news on 2.0 in the next letter, hopefully he will be so kind as to have some pictures ....he did mention links ;)

Obviously we have the poll results and news on 1.22 as well, the next letter should be a good'en.

I reckon 1.22 will be on the 27th.

In all fairness, previous patches have all been gameplay mechanic changes. 1.22 and 1.23 will be more content focused, meaning it probably isn't as problematic to get content to release on schedule.

Paired with the fact 1.18-1.21 were considered 1 HUGE patch broken down into phases and after 1.21 they said patches will be a lot quicker.
