Doing a rewarding Mythic+ type system for 6.0 would see subs sky rocket

Not going to go into detail but ever since Mythic plus came out in WoW and Blizzard trying to make it rewarding but not too rewarding has turned into more and more of disaster since they launched it and with Shadowlands they have all but killed it.

Now is the time for Square Enix to create a Mythic type system in FF14 BUTTTT KEYWORD BUTTT do it right and not just a gear chase grind that you have to gut later on.

Mounts, glamours and maybe currency rewards for the most difficult level. People just want a system where they push their skill level in 4 man content that has some type of reward.

I think Square Enix devs have the ability to look at failures from other MMO's and fix the problems. In game leaderboards, scaling difficulty and interesting challenges in current dungeons and with ilvl syncing it could be backwards compatible maybe?!?!??!?!

I would agree with this wholeheartedly....mythic plus is why I'm still subbed to WoW. And it's my one reservation with this game. 6.0 mythic plus type system would make me cancel WoW and come into this game full throttle

I could see them doing Unreal dungeons.

uhh no thank you. Quite frankly unless they go back to making more dungeons and hard modes they are unlikely to do anything like that. Honestly i heard it's a mess and we don't need any wow crap in ff14.

This game is as successful as it currently is because it borrowed alot of that ' wow crap.'

I for one would welcome any new challenge.

Doing it right is a very subjective statement. What you consider right may not be what others do. Instead give specific examples of how it should be good, not just moar rewards.

God no. Blizzard's infinitely repeatable rewards from M+ are what killed the entire game in the last disastrous expansion. It devalued every other avenue of progression in pvp and pve endgame. Let M+ die with the flaming wreckage of wow where it belongs.

I would enjoy Unreal Dungeons.

That's an issue with their reward system though. In Legion, Mythic+ was highly popular and lots of fun to run and Challenge Modes in MoP/WoD were great too. I ran hundreds of them. Then they proceeded to wreck them and the rest of their game even more from BFA onwards.

Dungeons can actually be fun. It's a different way of playing to raids and trials, which is the only endgame right now. You don't have a co-healer or co-tank, you actually use your aoe toolkit, damage can be heavy on big pulls and mitigation more important. It's not about memorizing 10 minutes of set mechanics. But all we have for dungeons is easy-mode. We've never been allowed to experience that content at its best in FF14.

Uh oh, what did they do now?

I don't think Mythic+ dungeons would be a good fit for FFXIV due to how the gearing system is different however I think the old Challenge Mode dungeons from MoP/WoD would be a really neat idea considering that was only for cosmetics/mounts/bragging rights.

CM Dungeons could fit pretty well, a Mythic + style mode would probably need new and original dungeon designs to make it work well since mobs are a big factor in Mythic+'s design which isn't the way it is in XIV at least no where near the same level
