Request; We really lack bug-like minions and mounts

So to start off, I’m fascinated by bugs. Insects, arachnids, isopods, slugs, snails, all of the buggy things. In universe, the Vilekin, as it were.

So of course I wanted all the bug mounts and minions, but when I searched up what was in the game, we have so few to choose from. Only one mount from the Vath beast tribe (which I am grinding for), and three minions, two of which are butterflies. Four if you count wind-up Rivana.

This really surprised me since the game has SO many vilekin enemies and gear with bug themes. How have we gone this long without a spider minion?

I just want to request more minions and mounts based off bugs.

I know bugs are pretty under represented in FF in general, but I agree, more would be appreciated.

The only other buggy mounts I can think of would be Omega and the Gobwalker and that's just because they imply buggy. A spider of some sort could be really neat for a Halloween event down the line or even a butterfly! Or creep multiple people out.

Nope, no spiders. Burn them with fire.

Bee mount! Give me my bee mount!

It doesn’t need to be a spider (because arachnophobia is a unfortunately pretty common) but a bee, moth, lady bug, snail, things like that would be my jam.

There are so many models in game that could be repurposed for a few mounts, so I’m shocked we haven’t seen these pop up in anything.

Ok, now, I want a giant ladybug.

One of those rhinoceros beetles would make a good mount if you just stuck a saddle on its midsection.

I noticed this, too! Not a lot of companions in FFXIV for us bug lovers.

Scolipede from pokemon is a supreme example why we need more centipedes!

I have requested my giant fluffy white moth mount multiple times now. Some moths out there, are more beautiful the butterflies. Some also use mimicry, which is freakin awesome!

There are lots of bug lovers out there. We need these mounts in our lives!

Seeing a horde of giant flying spiders during hunt trains could be interesting indeed

Snail mount. Zips along the ground like normal snail movement. When it flies is pulls into the shell and a jetflame propels it.

After seeing how adorable the bee mount in WoW is, I'd have to agree- a fluffy bee mount would be great.

I also would really like a mount like the boss of 1000 Maws.

I'd like to see a spider mount and minion. They're wonderful creatures that unfortunately get a bad reputation - one undeserved in many cases.

I really dig the idea of an gigant ladybug mount, it could be really cute.

Also, I want a Mantis minion than hops in your shoulder and just stays there, being all Mantisy

I like beetles (the Gobbiewalker is a nice surrogate).

Bees would be very cool too.

we have a large number of bug designs in game that would be awesome for a mount, diremites, the giant moths, ladybugs even excluding spiders we have quite a few i would love to see as a mount, hell even if we did include spiders we could get a allagan spider from the final coils
