Order of the Blue Garter is Recruiting: 1 WHM and 1 DPS

What are the haps, my friends?

Order of the Blue Garter, comprised of a few OG BG members from FFXI and WoW plus many beautiful people from FFXIV's Rabanastre server, has now opened limited recruiting.

Since launch, we've been committed to tackling new content with as much moxie as possible. Our core consists of hardcore, talented players who believe in Yoshida, and we're sticking with our guy through 2.0 and beyond. However, time passes, and sometimes, friends come and go, so we're now looking for 1 main WHM player and 1 extremely well-rounded DPS player to round out our progression groups with at least 20 hours' availability per week.

For a WHM, we're looking for someone who:
- Has extensive healing experience in FFXIV; preferably in other MMORPGs as well
- Wants to heal so hard to the point where we can compare him/her to Daigo "The Beast" Umehara
- Sees red HP bars only in his/her nightmares
- Knows how to cast Regen

For a DPS player, we're looking for someone who:
- Wants to min/max every single DPS job, including BLM, MNK, WAR, DRG, BRD, WHM, and PLD
- Has a competitive mindset without the parser-based dickwaving associated with BIG NUMBERS 10000000000000000 syndrome
- Without using savestates, can beat Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! without losing AND/OR Contra with 3 lives AND/OR Ninja Gaiden I/II/III (all of the above are for the Nintendo Entertainment System).

I have to salute the person who beats Mike Tyson without save states AND Contra without NES Advantage slowmo (autopause) AND Ninja Gaiden 1 without throwing the cartridge across the room after defeating the dad, dying on Jacquio twice, and being sent to where you fight Bloody Moth.

I'm sensing some...underlying bitterness here. I sympathize, though, because I'm pretty sure those GODDAMN BIRDS in Ninja Gaiden ruined my childhood.

Other applicable games: Gradius, Lifeforce, Ikari Warriors, Prince of Persia.

Those dam birds! NG2 wasn't so bad though. Oh and Section Z! no... Must not think of the pain.

For the younger players, I will also accept DoDonPachi or any other bullet-hell shooter.

What about Silver Surfer?

Never played it, sorry. Oh yeah, 1C'ing any 90s beat-'em-up would probably also suffice.

Trayvon Martin.. for those who dont know, was a young kid, (15 y/o iirc) who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch guy. Trayvon was returning home after buying some tea drink and skittles , the watch guy saw him walking back home and just shot the kid. he claimed he felt theatened by a kid who had no weapons on him (i guess you could kill a guy with a tea bottle or by chuking some skittles). under Fla law, you can kill if you feel theatened. anyways for those of you who dont get carraways disgusting joke, assuming he was joking, let me fill in the blank, Trayvon was a black kid , hilarious joke, carraway. it was a joke right? you do say "we", so seriously not sure.

BG frowns upon shooting anyone, of any race or religious background, for holding a bag of Skittles. Unless they deserve it.

If you can't handle a joke like that, then you're not going to be a good fit for our shell socially.

Joke or not its bad form to make a joke based on the death of anyone no matter their skin color. Either way good luck with your recruitment. Tell twenty two grats on that heavy darklight I admire your shell's dedication and agree with how you guys stick with Yoshi P. I however love my lesser linkshell as we love to "hate" on you guys but in a healthy way. :)

Agreed, the only thing that made that game a challenge was because you'd run out of lives by the time you survived those damn hover bike races. ><
