I don't know... about other players.. but with the new dungeon for 5.3 I find it frustrating that the loot is all random. You never know if your gear will drop or it will be nothing but junk accessory's... or other classes that you have to fight over with three other players... and by the time the dungeon is over, you're not even guaranteed a piece of gear for your class ....like in violet tides.
I LOVE the look of the armor this patch because I adore the Ascians....so I've been farming non stop and I still don't have a complete set for anything for that matter... I've been lucky to win gear here and there... but I rarely see coats drop or masks drop...or boots. It's usually just earnings, pants... and gloves.
I feel like it would just be easier if you were guaranteed a drop of your class by the end so you didn't waste your time and energy going into something to farm and just come out empty handed on multiple occasions. That's all I ask, so if your farming for glam you at least come out with something... and don't have empty runs...
Not a huge fan of the new dungeon in 5.3 for loot.

That's how it's always been.
I do think it would be cool if they made it so dungeons from previous expansions dropped coffers instead of individual gear, at least for the postgame dungeons. I understand they gotta have the grind for current content, but would be a nice relief if they helped you get stuff from older content a bit faster. -

Yeah, I really want to see some improvement to the gear drops for the old endgame dungeons. Whether it's coffers or guaranteed drops or some kind of tokens, it would free up so much glamour dresser space for the "I don't have a use for this now but I may never see it again if I discard it" sort of items.

I've been hoping for some kind of token item to be added to chests at the end of a duty, like with EX trials and current 'normal' raids, so you can collect them after running the duty a bunch and buy an item from said duty with it. That way you still have to run it at least a few times just for that one item, and if you're somehow unlucky with having it drop you can just go buy it.
There's been a handful of dungeons I've run dozens of times and never even saw the loot I wanted, to a point where I just gave up. I don't think that's a system that works. -

Have you considered running Trusts through it? I know this takes longer because of the NPCs not as hard on dps, but everything that drops is yours.

I wish all the dungeons and raids from previous expansions were set up like leveling dungeons to make glamour farming feasible.
Personally, I'm on old school final fantasy fan, and the sets from the Return to Ivalice raids are my jam. I've been working on these for going on two years and I still don't have all the pieces to complete my sets.
Implementing the leveling dungeon loot system in past expansions can really help us glamour farmers. -

I'm glad someone else has made this thread.
I think it's inexcusable the sheer amount of accessories and more accessories that drop from the coffers in this dungeon.
The first boss always has a belt + accessory, and each subsequent boss has had similar loot spread. but every single other coffer in the dungeon feels like it only ever drops accessories, with armor coming from them extremely rarely. I've managed to get every accessory for every job at least twice over now, with many times seeing the same piece drop multiple times in a single run. -

There are so many easier and faster ways nowadays to cap your tomestones that if you only had to do a dungeon 1-3 times to get all the gear you want out of it then it would negatively impact queue times. The dungeon wouldn't necessarily be "dead" after a week but I'm pretty sure a lot of people would just not bother queuing for it relatively quickly.Quote:

I like the idea of more options for spending the coins from the alliance raids, and the coins are already in the game for 6 of the 9 non-current raids. But adding new tokens for all the older dungeons feels like too much work. They do already have the "you get a drop for your class at the end of the run" thing programmed into the game, and would just need to turn it on for the rest of the older dungeons. Much less work to implement, and it still guarantees you whatever glam pieces you want within a certain number of runs.
