Who do you think they would be?

Hummingway or shortified burmecians, something of lalafellin size, but really literally anything but a child race.

I like the idea that you have :
Hyur (standard), Elezen (tall, long ears), Lalafell (short, long ears), Roegadyn (big, weird nose)
and
Miqo'te (standard), Viera (tall, long ears), ??? (short, long ears), Hrothgar (big, weird nose)

Having a small, bestial race would complete the set.


(Au ra don't fit in this because au ra weren't designed well. fight me.)

Moogle? Namazu? So many to choose from! For a small race, I'd like to see either Ivalice moogle (unlikely :( ) or... huh. I actually can't think of any other small race other than namazu. Namazu it is then! XD Namazu warriors shall rise to the occasion!

I'd vote for Feol and Burmecian. I think it's something we really miss in the game, but unfortunately will never get, especially the Feol. It's really sad and quite creepy that many players in many MMOs sexualize small or young looking characters. I just personally love cute things and think they are adorable, but I know there will always be somebody who is into erp with Elin from Tera or Lyn from Blade & Soul (which is disgusting in my opinion). As we know, SE doesn't want FFXIV to be recognized as a game where you can do this kind of stuff. It's really sad and hurtful to people who just enjoy playing smaller characters in innocent way, but I suppose we can't help it.

I just really hope male Viera won't be another bulky male race with a boy face like Miqo'te or bestial race like Hrothgar. Well, I hope SE will add male Viera at all.

These guys are who I thought of as well, they're humanoid enough in the body to not be problematic with armor but different enough in the face to be unique. Though they'd probably be barred from wearing hats too lol

The Feol were not shorter Viera, they had shorter ears and blonde hair rather than just white, which is already covered in the game with ear sliders and all the hair colour options we have available. Short Viera have never been a thing other than concept art of what might be Viera children.

Moogles but in a different design than they have in this game. That's tooo teenie. I like the ff12 suggestion someone else posted. I feel like it would be fitting and fun. Reminds me of Vulpera and even kind of the Goblins from WoW.

Well, Lion dudes are just an animal head and Tail taped on a roe body. Those moogles would be pretty much the same thing; a Lala body with that mog head on it

I want to point something out about people asking for this. Whenever the Feol are requested from this form, it's always based on this picture.

Pretty much like how Viera were requested based on Fran's design. It's ironic that this is what people want for a "shorter Viera," when the character herself is taller than she looks. If you compare her head size to the length of her body, she's more than"six heads high." According to artist lingo, that means she's 6-feet tall at minimum. But I think because of her character design and aesthetic (blonde hair, fair skin, pink clothes, high-heels, cute ears, overall feminine look), people just assume she's short.

Thank you, there was/is a fan-made picture going around with a Viera (probably Fran) next to the image you linked where they're sized differently because whoever made the picture sized them differently. I assume this is the source of the short Feol "myth".

There's a lot more inaccuracies in that picture like saying Feol are more likely to leave the woods, when actually they lived in a volcano before they were all wiped out, but even in that picture it only mentions shorter ears. They're basically just the Veena we have in the game with the shortest ear option. Feol being short is pure fan fiction.

Before we got more details on it, I figured it'd be neat if they did the opposite of what they did with au ra, in this case making women tall and amazonian whereas males are smaller and uh... cuter? Idk.

Aside from that, I'd be down for some FFXII-looking moogles, too. I don't like how amorphous and freakish moogles look in this game. Their huge heads and tiny extremities remind me of an infant with phocomelia, which ain't a pretty sight.

Hm, maybe a short stubby bug race would be cool~ Like them being based off of Kabuto and Hercules Beetles! ^^

I'm gonna have to look up Liltes later, but a fae race would be AWESOME!!!! Maybe a Fae Moogle Race with the Moogle body from FF11 being used for that would be nice. :D

The child Miqo'te I'd actually love to have as a retainer that just runs around doing quests and such within the city state their assigned to, rather than running around on dangerous quests like their adult counterparts do. Though I'd love to see the male Viera be small and cute, too.
