What is your least favorite thing about your favorite job? What is your favorite thin

Title says it all!

EDIT: Ahh! The title cut off. It should read "What is your least favorite thing about your favorite job? What is your favorite thing about your least favorite job?"

My favorite job is Scholar. My least favorite thing about Scholar is the lack of ways to contribute to DPS that feel *meaningful*. The DPS "rotation" is so uninvolved and "chain stratagem" isn't as exciting as AST cards.

My least favorite job is Gunbreaker. My favorite thing about Gunbreaker are the sound effects on some of the abilities. They just really nailed the aesthetics of that job.

Fav job: PLD
Don't like: Shelltron is cool. Cover and Intervention are also cool. But... Couldn't they double up on those a little? Like, just have Shelltron's effect change to one of them when cast on an ally.

Least fav job: BRD
Like: the general design of focusing on Heavy Shot is really appealing to me. I like how you play whack a mole with skills as they become relevant/come off cooldown and then fall back into hammering heavy shot while you monitor everything. It does wonders for my DPS tunnel vision.

my favorite is definitely warrior. i love how bursty it is and how punchy the beast gauge abilities are, and i really love using nascent flash and healing it all back. my least favorite though is how wonky nascent flash can be to use on controller, and the animations of the basic combo. i always liked skull sunder and butchers block over maim and storms eye

my least favorite is probably white mage, but it’s not that far down since i like every job. i really like the aesthetic for white mage a lot

Favorite Job: Scholar.
Least Favorite Thing About It?: Lack of meaningful ways to contribute to DPS which stems from the fact that no one on the Dev team actually seems to play the class. And if they DO it's at a very basic 'I SPAM PHYSICK ALL THE TIME AND HAVE TROUBLE HEALING, SO HERE SCH HAVE MORE HEALING OPTIONS YOU DIDN'T NEED' sort of way. We had to /beg/ to get Energy Drain back. Let that sink in for a moment. We had to /beg/ to get a core part of our class back and they only did it begrudgingly. (Also give me my DOTs back.)

Least Favorite Job: Ninja.
Favorite Thing About It?: Lagomorph is adorable and I'd die for them.

Favorite Job: Summoner
Least fav thing about it: The amount of times it changes over the course of leveling. (and expansions)

least Fav Job(s): Tanking.
Its just not my thing, it feels so bland.

Red Mage
Least Favourite: AoEing is boring and lacks oomph. There's no dramatic cap to it.
Favourite: The way the job just flows and has a great rhythm. It's a really tactile and fun job to play with little or no wasted buttons.

Samurai:
Least favourite: Probably just the awkward DoT. It works but doesn't feel right. The conal AoE attacking can also be annoying in some fights, though it encourages movement which is nice.
Favourite: Much like RDM, it just has a really nice flow to it's play overall. The disengage and reengage skills with non expiring guages allow for a fun and fluid style where you're not always staring at timers.

Fav job? Marauder/Warrior
Least favourite part? Nothing.

edit: Looking through the thread past the headline I see I should say what my least favorite job is and my favorite thing about it.... oh. How we got that from Favorite Thin, I have no clue.

Least favorite class...

Dark Knight or Lancer... since I don't really play them.

Favorite thing, I like Dark Tanks, when other people play them. And who doesn't love Estinien.

Least favourite: I'll say only one thing: loss of SCH's individuality is many many aspects :-(. 2) Feeling being a job disliked and ignored by devs. 3) Old spells' visual effects which pale in comparison to Ast. 4) boring DPS. 5) ...oh wait.

Living Dead/Disembowel

Fave Job: AST
Least favorite part about it: RNGness of the cards and wasting time redrawing to get the full potential of divination

Least Fave Job: All the tanks
Favorite part about them: They're tanks
To clarify: I actually like tanky characters in RPGs (especially, shield fighters); I just don't like the responsibility that comes with tanking in MMOs XD.
Give me a Rhitalyn sas Arvina dual Gunshields tank class, and I might actually dabble in tanking. Otherwise, they will only be used in command missions.

DRK:Animation is cool and tbn is nice. Salted Earth can vanish.Ground aoe sucks.

Favorite job is probably AST or BRD. Least favorite thing about AST is malefic spam, but that's how I feel for all of the healers. For bard...I honestly can't think of anything. It's a pretty chill job I like to play when I want to take things easy.

Least favorite job is machinist. I like how all the animations look, I just wish I liked playing it. :(

Favorite Job: WHM
Dislike about it is just that it feels so boring only attacking with Glare the whole time.

Least Favorite Job: Ninja
Like the Mudra System but anything else feels since ShB butchered for me.

Favorite job: WHM

Favorite thing: It was my first job to 75 in XI.

Current favorite job: Samurai

Something I do like about it: When draw in on CD

Favorite job: Dark Knight.
Least favorite thing: Living Dead and lack of effective self heals. Also, the fact that it's probably the most 'vulnerable' of the tank classes. What I mean by vulnerable is that, if the healer dies, a DRK will have a much harder time keeping himself alive than pretty much any other tank in the game. It's just a little too dependent, if you understand what I mean. DRK needs a better self heal than just Abyssal Drain and Souleater, especially if you consider all the self heals WAR and PLD get. When added with Living Dead it just makes DRK too vulnerable and dependent on outside help. I just wish for them to have a little more of the self-sufficiency the other tanks can achieve. To be sure, I can certainly keep myself and my teammates up during a boss fight if the healer dies (at least for some boss fights), but it is not easy and I have to work much harder than I would have had to on literally any other tank. But DRK is still my favorite class.

Favorite thing: I suppose my favorite thing about them would be their mobility. And maybe their buffs.

My fav job is redmage

My favourite thing would be rdm's utility and the fact that dualcast increases our mobility. Also you don't have an really strict rotation and flows very well.

Least fav thing would be that embolden doesn't buff everyone.

I dislike how most of the sch books look.

I enjoy how sch has three resources for its kit. It's interesting.

It is no longer fun to play. Feels boring.

Love the glam/look. Honestly this is the only reason I still main it.

I'm sch.

Least favorite job is brd. My brain can't handle the proc style of gameplay. I love brd glams though.

I know that feeling. I don't really like Bard for other reasons but I have a killer Bard glam so it's sort of painful. I wish I liked the class just so I could wear the glam because it's great but doesn't really fit with any other class.

I love DNC. A lot, I main it on three max level characters, it plays so fluidly.

If I had to pick something I don't like I guess it might be how awkward casting closed position can be. Like it's got a delay on it so if you and another DNC (also don't like having 2+ DNC in a group) accidentally put it on the same partner the delay to recast it can be troublesome. Also it erases off of my chocobo every time I go to fly from spot to spot, which is annoying.

My favorite thing is that it isn't like the other jobs which are so bloated and weighed down with repetitive combos.

DNC keeps me on my toes, literally, and is just FUN to play.

I'm torn between DNC and MCH. Launching Flamethrower in a pack of mobs is quite a nice feeling.

But one of my favorite thing to do is using Standard Finish/Technical Finish in a huge pull. Its just so satisfying.

Needs more prominent gunshot sound effects and moves. Also, an option to allow continuation go auto for better movement when dragging a boss.

Least favorite: Storm's Eye

Least fave job: Monk
Favorite thing: The players, like every Monk main I've met is chill and know what they're doing.

My favorite job is Dark Knight... Least favorite thing is how badly it's been simplified since it dropped. It's pretty boring spamming Bloodspiller.

My least favorite job is Black Mage... I do like seeing big numbers, pew pew. The Enochian animation is cool.

Favorite(s): Red Mage / Astrologian
Least favorite about them: Vernames are veruninspired / the card ShB AST card system (I miss my variety of buffs and modifiers).

Least favorite job: Dragoon (I like it, but least favorite of the jobs I've gotten to 80 so far)
Favorite thing about it: Backflipping off the stage! No seriously, it's a good laugh when you do it on accident. :P

I miss delirium buffing blood weapon, I miss blood price, I miss Powerslash
I guess, if there was a way to bring DRK back to how it played during Stormblood, but just minus Dark Arts, I'd probably be satisfied. Just make Powerslash a second combo ender like what Paladin has with a different effect, and remove Dark Arts and the first two hits of the old agro combo and replace them with Edge/Flood of darkness. Then add the stuff added in ShB. But right now it's waaaay to simple

I guess my least favorite class to play is probably Monk or scholar. I like all the options Scholar has for healing, but I just don't particularly enjoy playing it, especailly in dungeons. And I like Monk's more fluid 123 combos.

Favorite job, Bard... least favorite thing about it... that's tough, because I'm pretty happy with where it is. But if I had to pick something, probably that it's missing some of the party utility it used to have, like MP regens, Palisade, Foe's Requiem, etc.

Least favorite job, Summoner... favorite thing about it... ever since they allowed us to glam the pets as Carbuncles, they're all adorable now! Never liked the look of the egis...

Favorite: Dragoon
Least Favorite Thing: Uuuh.. Honestly, In terms of gameplay the Dragoon is pretty great imo. My only real issue with the job that was fixed, is that BotD was so easy to lose if there was no fighting to be had. Losing eyes just before a boss because the tank is being a slow ass was painful, or if you got to one of those really long sequences in a Trial. Did not like. I guess the Floor Tank memes are getting really old, so.. least favorite thing? XD
