Game randomly crashes to desktop without error

Hello,

since the start of ShB i randomly get crashes to desktop without error.
Sometimes no crashes for days / weeks and sometimes crashes every 5 minutes.

Anyone can help? A friend has the same. crashing without error.

Have you tried updating the graphics drivers? Additionally, does the game crash if it is run in windowed mode or borderless fullscreen mode?

the game crashes in borderless windowed and windowed mode both.

Yes i tried the driver update too. First few months ago same crashes next update the same.

How I said I think it is something wrong with the game client since shb because it is not only me and it starts to happen with this addon. Many players have this crashes see the technical support forum here.

My friend has this too and I can't explain it in any ways.

I checked windows event logs for errors but there is nothing too.

its a bug with amd ryzen cpus i seen most users having this issues all have amd ryzen cpu and i have same problems.

Have you tried reinstalling the game from the secondary drive to the C drive? When Final Fantasy XIV does crash, is there anything over heating?

yes i tried the install on C drive and on the secondary drive both has the crashes.
No nothing overheats on my system. i see my temperatures on my display alltime so this is not the source.

yes my drivers are up2date.

Sometimes my FFXIV runs alone only with spotify next open, sometimes mostly i run Discord (Overlay is off). Notepad++ , Chrome.
But how i say it crashes random. with or without other open programs it crashes.

this is very annoying because it takes the fun out of it if i cant say if i can play more than 5 minutes or not.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
2) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
3) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
4) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
5) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything

thanks for the answer.

1,2,4 and 5 are already done and dont helped.

The only thing i didnt take into is number 3. i changed this setting and now i will test it.
But i cant tell when i can write with results. sometimes crashes wont happen for a month so i will wait and play now.

if nothing crashes now in i think a week i will give a short answer.
