How is SE going to fix people not queueing for a content you want to do right now, is it even prime time on your server rn?
How is that a “useless insult”? You’re complaining about queue times, but that’s not something SE has a ready fix for. PvP simply isn’t interesting or engaging enough for some people. A lot of people, actually. And there aren’t many incentives to keep doing it after one has earned enough Wolf Marks to buy all the goodies they want.
Personally, I dislike PvP in this game—at least how it is now. I actually enjoyed it back in HW before the skill consolidation, and had a lot of fun doing it with friends during Garo. But when SB dropped and jobs went to having 8 buttons—idk. It lost its appeal to me and a lot of other people I know.
OP is on Zalera, which is on Crystal. They posted at 6:17am CST, and then updated at 7:08am CST. Considering it’s a Saturday morning on NA, no. It’s not prime time here.
If people don't want to queue, they don't queue, nothing SE can change there.
The game play and the game mode in itself is not really rewarding for most of the player base and the rewards are kinda useless except for the few specific items for collectors and glamouristas.
If you don't want to hear/read the truth, don't ask for it.
OP, I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get into the content you wanted to enjoy.
How do you think SQEX could better incentivise people to run PvP?
Prime time: i had to wait 1-8 minutes. Mornings: Popped after 370-420 minutes.
My stats on Aether.
We had 24 man queues but SE did the delete. Pretty sure queue was almost always popping then.
You posted at 7am my time (I think), and said you were waiting 2 hours, so you started your queue at what, 5am? Buddy, PVP isn’t in the best state right now, you might want to at least wait until everyone is awake to queue for it. Frontlines queues do pop. Good luck with getting any of the other PVP modes to pop though.
I dunno Kezzic, thanks to the Moogle tomestone event I've been regularly getting into Rival Wings.
No, I mean regularly.
Like, as in not just today, but I can get in on a regular basis.
Either way looking back I kinda took your comment too literally :P

On Aether it's more like 3pm Eastern to significantly past midnight; like 2am EDT is only 11pm PDT.
You used to be able to get 8 man party 24 person matches about 1-2 an hour almost all day long. That time period where it's later than late night but not yet morning was always a dead spot though. There actually was a morning 'before work' sort of crowd where you could get back to back matches in for a few hours. It was more like 7am-10am Eastern though.
Frontline PVP is only active during the day. After midnight it's dead.
Aethers pretty good for frontlines atm ye, because there's a group there called ARGO that runs Frontline competitions for gil/mogstation prizes and they're quite popular, and their home is Aether.
And ye that was the good thing about 24man, personally I cant envision playing Onsal as 24man because it was designed as a 72man map, and I had varying levels of enjoyment under the old 24man system because it was fun in a competant alliance, whether you had a premade or not, it wasn't if you didn't because you could not lean on 2 other alliances to give you a chance. But the best part about it had to be the extra 4 hours of queues it gave you.
Probably by making it Fun again and allowing 8v8v8 back into existance.
Squeenix listened to frustrated part time pvpers, removed 8v8v8 and 8 man premades cause they got stomped. Now they still get stomped by 4 man premades. Part time PvPers ran out of excuses: now they dont queue anymore.
I recommend playing other games for PvP, at least thats what i do. PvP in FF is kinda pointless now anyway.
And before people now claim that pvp never went on outside of prime time: before the removal of 8v8v8 we hat queues pop until 4 am in the morning even after the casualisation with the release of Stormblood.
I mean waiting on the queue aside, there are a multitude of things you could do during that time. Could be something in-game, or hell you could do something out of game like TV/Netflix/Switch etc the list is endless, time is only wasted if you use it poorly to begin with.
If you can only play PvP during a certain time frame in a day then it is dead. I tried for 3 weeks to get into a game but it never happens when I have time to play.
I once waited 158 minutes to get into one of the Stormblood alliance raids because I queued very early in the morning and I didn't have it cleared. Today I joined one of the Sb raids that I've cleared and I waited only 5-6 mins from the daily roulette. So, can you really say that the content is dead?
Crystal has a window. During the window in my experience it is never longer 10 mins usually under 5. But outside the window don't bother. If your play time doesn't line up with that PvP isn't really content you will be able to enjoy. Maybe with the rework in 6.0 pops will happen more during off time.
So the main issue with pvp right now is in MMO's normally gear is the carrot but in FF14 even with all these jobs it is just more efficient to use crafting then poetic or some other gear. We also have a major issue that PVP vendors are in literally one location in the entire MMO so barely anyone even know they exist.
If you look at WoW they put their pvp gear vendors literally in the main hub. If they stuck them in some instanced zone that most people do not even understand what it is until long after max level then it is no wonder pvp in FF14 is basically ignored.
Take that same little vendor standing next to the Limsa aetheryte and add lvl 50, 60 and 70 pvp gear as an option and I promise you the pvp queues are going to drop like a rock as you get a flood people who would rather grind pvp currency vs poetics.
