If the missing genders are not added: What would you like to see at fanfest instead

Just to add some sanity to the negativity that will come when no male Viera/female Hrothgar are shown at the fanfests, what would you like to see instead that isn't normally the case like new jobs?

1. Personally I'd love for them to announce that the relic quest will start at the start of the expansion instead of a year later.
2. Another thing would be that all helmets/hats will be wearable by female Viera and male Hrothgar and they'll be able to use most of the old hair styles the other races can wear.

I would like a new mixed race between Miqo'te & Hyur (Midlander), I wouldn't mind if it was females only!.

More customization options for the current races. Maybe even a completely upgraded character creation system. In fact, I'd rather have both/either of those than the "missing" gender options.

Wearable indicator for headgear/hairstyles, dye preview for mog station, mount music sample, dancer emotes, apartment upgrades, market board crafted housing item. You know, just a few things for QOL.

Airship content would be nice. Like full blown content, not an interactive UI.

Reworking base code of the game like when WoW went into cataclysm, such that we might see a far more expansive glamour log (item log).

Beginning to work on graphics again (game isn't ugly, but other games have definitely improved to be vaguely competitive at least - even late expansion WoW content has a lot of graphical improvements).

Some long term personal project, I like things I can work on in bite sizes over a long while (usually this means building up areas is fun to me, but it could be something else- the game has many already but I just like them lol. Maybe this one can start sooner and end later- a very long term project).

Chocobo content, like a chocobo paradise beast tribe (ideal if it was to be a beast tribe cross expansions, like airship content and not just for one expansion), revamp of the companion, etc.

Even if I don't like it, and that doesn't mean I wont be salty either lol (I reserve the right to criticism xD), it is nice to see new concepts tried. So just something different would be neat, most often even if I don't love it I still say it was cool they tried it. Pretty much the only thing that I consistently and sincerely salt about, as they've pretty regularly worked/work on most other things so I satisfactorily drop them over time, is housing (objects are great, I don't like the system itself) and blue mage (feel it could have been better/more interesting or not used and another concept to do what they intended for their PF content)...

Anything else I might just like and say so, offer general feedback, or wave at as it passes me by (ultimate content lol, cool it exists and also I'm never going to bother with it).

Additional customisation options for the existing playable races. That's the main thing I want from the game at the moment, especially with FFXIV's main competitors recognising the importance of such things.

A blacklist function that shows the person's name in red (something) when you are on a blist.

fix the hair clipping problem, especially if your avatar is long hair person

The missing character customization options.

-New Dynamic Dungeon Designs with Challenging Boss Fights.
-A needed improvement/Overhaul of PvP.
-DoomTrain and a QTE to Suplex it.

Body hair slider.

Why do you people want to have male Viera / female Hrothgar when the developers botchered these two races so hard? We still have almost zero headgear and hairstyles.

A new healer job and a full rework of all the healer and tank jobs to bring back diversity and job identity.

i want to see them talk about monk and why they ended up whit the job as how it is, to explain the player base why they decided to make that job work the way it is currently and talk about what they want to do whit the job in depth instead of saying "we will use player feedback" as a excuse to their decisions on the next iteration of the job next expansion

A rework of the glamour system, or at least the capacity of the current dresser and the number of plates being doubled/tripled. It's my major problem with the game now.

Yeah, 400 slots is ridiculous. Why isn't it unlimited? I mean, what - exactly - is the reason behind it being limited at all? We're talking about a few bytes of information per character at most.

- Permanent 2B Butts and Thighs to the character model so we can finally have a fully curved body instead of a flat board in thin legs.

- Overall Character Customization upgrade

- More activities in the overworld beside the main city hubs.

I would like that Verminion revamp. Lord of Verminion could've been a great hit if they would just let us use one minion at a time like in pokemon. It's not like pokemon invented that kind of fighting anyway.

I also have to agree with bringing job identity back to the tanks and healers, they've lost so much of their uniqueness over time. All the tank shields specially are used the same way, for the most part, with the same timers and cooldown timers. Which I guess helps to design ultimate content but it makes the rest of the game stale. It's a bad trend for the game considering most of the playerbase doesn't even do ultimate fights or savage for that matter. I'd rather a slightly unbalance within the roles than all the jobs in that role playing almost the same way.

I wouldn't call the 2B butt and thighs curvy. It adds like, MAYBE, 5 pounds to your character.

I don't need a slider that offers me a donk, but I'd at least like a freaking Marilyn Monroe butt.

Skipping male viera/female hrothgar should allow them to implement a system where you can choose booty/thighs shape. Even if it's not a slider at least give 2-4 options.

Overworld activities are a must, it's one of those things that a lot of players have always wanted more of. They were once considering allowing FCs to summon primals in the overworld or something like that. Would be fun if they found a way to implement an open world primal summon system. Where over a period of time you would have the amaalja summon Ifrit and it becomes this 20 minutes boss fight where the fate locks in the first 20 or 30 people that join it and no one else can join; yes, this would be the only way to stop the usual Hunt-type zerg that happens in open world content. The good news is that if they make this content happen at the same time in different regions (zones) of the game it will give other people a chance to do other open world primal fights at the very same time; like you could have Ifrit roaming central thanalan at the same time that ravana is summoned at dravania forelands. These open world bosses would add a lot of dynamism and play into the lore of the game. Reward could be anything from a lot of gil given to you by the grand companies or even something like "timed" primal glamours. Where you can wear an exclusive primal set that has a 72 hours expiration date; which you then have to collect again if you're lucky enough to find the primal again, just an idea.

I dunno. Upgrades to the character creator?

How about weapons for Dancers and Gunblades? Freaking ridiculous that everyone else has like 100+ to choose from, and these classes get a total of ~15.

At least go back and implement craftables from the primals for them.

Timed dungeon mounts
A new system that would revive old content, specially dungeons, in my opinion is a system which adds limited time mounts to these duties.

Imagine this silly boy being a mount with a 24 hour timer on it that you have to get again by running Saint Mocciane Arboretum HM?

Each dungeon would have a mount that's exclusive to it (I don't expect each dungeon to get one immediately, but maybe over time). Specially the older expansions could benefit from this since it would be motivated players into these dungeons. It's a system that recycles itself well.

I love this. I love ALL of this! Well, except for the limited time primal glamour maybe. Unless it's like the All Saint's Wake glamour that temporarily turns you into a void sent for a limited period of time, then I'm down with it!

A few things:

- Ability to queue as different roles.

- A rework to how duty finder/party finder works to be more flexible. I wish I could put a party finder for X while farming mats inside Diadem/Eureka or doing certain gates.

With such a lock system it is very likely that the first ones here will be those using cheating add-ons to automatically detect what is up on a map, and that those not cheating will be too late to the party. Like it does happen already for S ranks.

Change in job design philosophy so that it focuses on fun and unique playstyles over "accessibility" and balance:
Get healers and tanks back to being fun, unique and complex, fix monk and summoner kits so they aren't ridiculous. Stop cutting actions each expansion only to add them back under a different name.

OR

Character creation update:
Muscle definition, proper feet/hands/claws for the races that can have it
Longer and less clipping hair, decoupled hair from hrothgar face, decoupled Auri horns...there's lots of things that could be improved

I'd love for them to strut out on the fanfest stage and say "we've been genetically engenieering some of the races from in game to irl. Lalafell are now real." then just walk off the stage and let the crowd erupt into chaos.

I would like the ability to customize our emotes in the same way we pick our voice. For example, being able to pick say.. 4-5 of our choice from all available idle actions (fidgets?) of all races/genders.

So if I want to be a hyur boy who plays with his hair or checks his boots a la bunny girl...so be it.

Same deal with sitting poses, etc. My character is highlander female, but I don’t really “play” her as some rough and tumble type, despite her general posture.

Its ether finish the half-done races or give us a big character creation overhaul. It still makes 0 sense how games older than XIV still have better CC than XIV does.

I'd go with...

1. CC update
2. Retroactively adding post HW job weapons and armor to content sets that are missing them (even if below their starting levels), particularly for Primal weapons, the PVP Battleleige gear, Lost Allagan weapons and crafted gear that already share models (i320 crafted and L72 crafted for example)
3. The addition of runner up gear form the gear design designs (like the Mercury gear)
4. A dungeon that's a middle ground between 1.0 Toto-Rak and modern dungeons where its still linear but the path taken would be randomized each run.

Yoshi dressed up as Hildabrand.

I'd like to see an expansion of the character creation system itself. Also, Viera and Hrothgar hats please. At the very least they need to be able to wear BRD and RDM hats. The fact that they can't is almost criminal.

Skills glamour system would be neat.
And fix to GNB SFX. No more swinging with a bat please.

1. Agree, I really miss Warrior's Steel Cyclone and Butcher's Block
2. Yes, heavier sound effects would be welcomed, specially on tank jobs. When I think of a tank I think of heavy sounding weapons, at least Warrior has this but others like Dark Knight and Gunbreaker really need adjusting.
3. They should add more character voices, 12 doesn't feel like enough to me.
4. Give us the option to increase/decrease the frequency of battle grunts; in Shadowbringers they barely happens anymore. I could go 4-5 attacks without hearing the battle voices, that's just wrong....And it's so random that they decided to decrease it in the 3rd expansion; why the change 3 expansions later?

Detach Au Ra faces from Horns and Hrothgar faces from Hair.

Hats and more hair options on the new races.

I have mentioned this elsewhere.., and though of it before..,

if its following the trend of retouching past content.., simplifying or adding..,
since flight will be soon available for ARR areas.., simply put areas that are now reachable be it rooftops, mountains, cliffs or etc.., there is a bunch of areas in ARR and later that while reasonable to land on, you are unable to.., if SE decides to add more content for higher-level characters, or activities old and new players can enjoy, said areas that are inaccessible before could be used to add new land for such activities.., without completely reworking exisiting maps, placement or making a strict schedule of things so as to not have it overlap with other open world events..,

Relics weapons, Gear for newer classes..,(based on previous expansion relic weapons) along with this recently a person's own idea of a RDM weapon with a Galaxy style to it showed up in the FFXIV Reddit.., (asides me being curious how Zeta Relics for HW, SB, and Shb classes would look like, as well as AF armor) i simply would find it interesting on how they would bring it to come about.., especially for a class which lore wise(based on its crystal description) wouldn't have any thing close to a relic, unless it was a weapon not used for such purposes but fits in utility..,(aka MCH) they could simply spin it as mixing the knowledge of all the types AF weapons into a new..,
(to put it shortly.., for classes post ARR, it would be crafting a Zodiac for just looks, but then Convert them to Weapons, and Gear for the next expansions endgame.., but with all previous methods, to cover for those classes lacking Relic Weapons/armor)

3. i could go on.., but most people have covered it, be it Character Models(with their lack there of in certain things).., or how Glamour works,(especially in tandem with the armoire)

(the short of 3 is that if AF armor could be stored, then augmented af armor could also be stored, be it only arr, or later.., Clearing up that would at least remove a noticeable section of Dresser space for some, that along with expanding the dresser itself.., hard to tell what the armoire is, except for what it can actually hold..,)

I'd like them to work on what's broken, as well as your second thought.

Apparently a player character in 1.0 actually had a butt. Then 2.0 came along and bye bye went the butts. Rip.
