I miss Shadowflare so much, it was simple, it was useful, enough flare visually to be noticed but not overbearing, it was just nice.
time dilation/old celestial opp
Reuse. It gave us a reason to want to HQ glam items and furniture.
Dark Dance.
I know it was kinda weak, but with that battle stance DRK absolutely screams parry buff.

Seriously. People gave it sh!t but it was an amazing dungeon CD. Dark Dance + DA > Dark Passenger meant you weren't getting hit for a good 10s.
For me it has to be Shadowflare as well. Did damage, provided a slow debuff. Something to do while Sacred Soil was on CD.
In that same vein a lot of AoE that SE took away.
Flaming Arrow for Bards.
Grenado Shot for MCH.
Why SE thinks that ranged jobs should be in melee range for their AoE is beyond me. IMHO it's a bad design decision.
Monk's Howling Fist. Great off-GCD ability that made me feel like Titan doing a landslide every time I did it.
OG Fluid Aura. Gimme back my damage and knockback.

From 1.0, Phalanx, Aegis Boon (the original, not the different current PvP ability with the same name), Red Lotus and the original 5-hit version of Rage of Halone.
And being able to cross class CNJ spells like Raise on PLD.

I kinda wish reloading was a thing, for those who dont remember its basically florusihing with ur standard rotation. they could've tweaked it and i dont undertand how its inferior to what we have now, double procing for twin Clean shots was fun and involved what we have is barren and boring

Cross class skills as a concept. It was rewarding to level more classes as you got more skills. Sure some essentials like provoke should have been role skilled as they are now
Unique low level blockers on tanks- shadowskin, bulwark and OG foresight
Execution attacks: Ageha, misery's end, mercy stroke, heartbreak...can't recall the last one
All of ast's unique ones- Time dilation, celestial opposition, cards+associated spread and royal road, Luminiferous aether, combust 2 being separate, stella, disable, gravity doing more than tickle
Whm: Aero 3, OG fluid aura, ARR cleric stance, protect/shell, divine seall (Fine it got readded under a different name), stoneskin 1, stoneskin 2, holy being strong damage wise and not just stun
Sch: Selene, miasma 1, miasma 2, bane, shadowflare, rouse, eye for an eye, aetherflow
Dark knight: Powerslash, OG delirium, Scourge, Dark dance, Shadowskin, OG low blow, OG reprisal, sole survivor, Dark arts, darkside (i loved that aura and the animation)
Dragoon: Ring of thorns, phelebotomize, keen flurry, feint when you could actually affect things with it, OG leg sweep, SB spineshatter dive

Dragoon's pole dancer aoe attack. I loved that skill to death because it was both cool and pretty funny at the same time.
I kinda miss Wide Volley on BRD. I wish BRD had an AoE rotation, like other dps, that chained Quick Nock -> Rain of Death / Wide Volley.

Stealth for gatherers, hate that spinning gold coin effect, I have to click off everytime I change to a gathering class/ also auto unspoiled node buff but it's less annoying since those are not up always.

Scourge, probably. Just because it was a nice animation, a secondary DoT for Dark Knight and had like a laser/light saber sound effect to go along with it.

BRD wide volley. i dont get it, why this skill is removed, why not quick nock?
wide volley is much cooler, more badass, the arrow effect is more pleasing to the eyes, the way it does and how the hundred of arrows just plummet to your enemy is waay more menacing than quick nock.
but instead we got quick nock instead, a flimsy quick shot of arrow with soft sound effect and the arrow DIDNT EVEN FLY STRAIGHT, what a joke lol
Yeah, most of the old Dark Knight kit for me as well. It's hard to pinpoint one skill as it was ages ago that I played with it but I remember enjoying it so much more than the current DK.
So much this. SE keeps putting in these awful giant "stance" effects and then players complain about them so they have to dial them back/remove them anyway. It would be nice if they just dialed them back to start with.
Not a skill, but Quickened Aetherflow. I still have no idea why it was removed. Like, what was the point in adding it last expansion (Badly, at first) just to take it away from us?
For DRK:
Sole Survivor.
Stormblood Abyssal Drain.
The former felt great to use after the tweaks it received at the tail end of SB.
Abyssal Drain was just bliss during dungeons as well, with the means to significantly enhance if you managed your mana correctly.
Then Sole Survivor was subsequently removed, with Abyssal Drain being converted from a self sustain tool to a free damage CD?
The fact that living dead remained unchanged on top of that just feels like cruel irony.
For PLD:

Flash
Cover used to be one of the most satisfying skills to use in the game, no it's practically an insult when intervention exists.
Shield swipe was just a fluff damage tool, but it added depth to PLD.
I would trade the utterly terrible Shield bash skill for the satisfying feeling of landing Shield Swipes anyday.
Flash was honestly kind of meh, but it was kind of novel to have a enmity tool that did not deal damage.
The blindness on dungeon mobs really added up too.
