Double-Facepaint/make up to creation

So can we please be allowed to double mix/match the facepaints for example I love the eyeshadow but I also Want to use the heart or the cat whiskers ... anyway you can add a 2nd selection or so to the character creation to pick two of them?

My main interest is having freckles be separate from face paint. This would do it if they can swing it.

inb4 the servers can't handle it!

Yoshi-P touched on this a year or two ago or more. I forget but the reason was server memory limitations iirc.
It may not seem like it, but the servers already send back and forth huge numbers of character data as you play. Everything from gear/glamor to haircolor, face types, etc.
Now for 1 character that doesn't seem like much of an issue. But when there's a hundred people standing around an aethryte like in Limsa, thats a lot of data to load and therefore a lot of server memory it must use.

At the very least I would like to have make up options that other races have. I specifically would love to have the same mascara option that viera get to be usable on my Au Ra.

They can't even unlock the different horns from the Au Ra faces c.c,,

Yeah this would be awesome. Maybe hey can put the freckles into the section for tattoos? Always wondered why they never added new stuff for that section of the character creator. There are only two options for my Lalafell and both are terrible >.>

Well, since WoW is adding the mother of all character customization updates with Shadowlands, maybe that will give SE some incentive to step up their game.

In fairness they did say updates, not customization itself.
They're making some pretty big changes, even if it took 15 odd years to do it

...also at this point, compared to quite a few MMOs I've had a chance to play, FFXIV's isn't so fantastic either. It's a shame, but it's got some frankly bizarre limitations that have me wishing games like Aion and BDO were well, better in general in Aion's case and more than just an endless grind in BDO's.

I'd really love to see freckles as a separate option at the very least.

Honestly, if a game came out with Final Fantasy's level of content but with the combat, graphics, and customization of BDO, I'd throw all my money at it.

Makes sense, since you have to buy all the nice outfits. Just keep out the grind trash, like afk fishing or running around in circles in town to train strength or whatever.

Well, as I said, the content of Final Fantasy would stay. The only game mechanics I'd want from BDO is the combat. The graphical fidelity as well, of course. However, the way the game handles armor and glamour is something I'd want mirrored from Final Fantasy. I'd hope for it to be expanded on, but relatively the same style of glamour plates or just instant glamour application. Also, I think the Mog Station as is would be fine. Out of the game and rarely mentioned elsewhere.

So unless we want to boost our subscription costs by a lot, we will have to wait for technology to catch up to our glamor dreams. I believe they are due for new servers sometime around 6.x but that is only speculation. Maybe we will see some new options around then. I believe Yoshi was dreaming about updating the graphics engine in the neighborhood of 7.x.

i can imagine people with the one that covers half your face now covering the entire thing

I mean i spend like 50 dollars a month lol at the very least (like 24 of it is on sub lol with extra retainers and stuff lol)

lets be real here to really play ( and i mean really play ff14 you have to be spendng around 25 dollars a month just on sub for space not even counting for the changes that sometimes are often others rare your dropping another 10-20 dollars lol

more so considering i got 4 different accounts :P that i keep subbed at the same time lol for when I'm in the mood for each one ( i set themes around things lol

i swear to god can we just delete this engine or servers. id fcking w8 5 years if that meant that we would have no problems on the w8

I've been playing the shit out of this game on just the base sub and never felt restricted.

Well to have realistc space it adds up (this more so on people who like to gather)
and to sell consindering each retainer can only put up 20 items (might be wrong here as I'm not online atm)
so ya that adds up rather quickly....
my other account (oldest one) that I loved to gather on i had almost 3 retainers full of ores and food/leathers fish wood plants (though that was pre hw back when I had bloom...)

Then you got almost every decent emote in the mog station lol thats like 7-12 dollars each lol (not monthly but still lol)

I'd be curious to see how many do tbh. Probably most people, but it's interesting to consider.

Me, I'm on the reduced sub because playing alts in this game is an exercise in masochism, but I still pay ~17 a month because I have two extra retainers. Because alts are so miserable and don't share resources, I can't make a bank alt like I might in another game, and the sheer amount of glamour gear and furniture that I have no convenient way to store means I'm constantly having to shuffle space. I'm in a good spot for space with four retainers, but dropping to just two would mean ditching a TON of stuff that I really don't want to ditch.

Anyway I dunno WTF the problem is with their tech infrastructure apparently being totally screwed up, or if throwing money at it would fix it, but... seriously, some of this game's systems or lack of systems... and the character customization limitations... are just super odd to me. Every game has its quirks and flaws obviously but I mean, things like tying Hrothgar hair to their face are just so incredibly head scratching that I really gotta wonder wtf is going on under the hood here.
