That kind of automation is not allowed by FF14 ToS.
My mistake I misread the OP. That would require third party software which, yes, is illegal. Macros can't string into each other. So you'll have to endure hitting your macro buttons in order or repeatedly.
I'd suggest rigging up some kind of physical device that will repeatedly click the mouse button every few minutes.
Or you could perhaps hire someone else to play the game for you. They would of course have to be physically present within your room, using your hardware, because sharing account information is against the ToS. This may be problematic during the current pandemic, but maybe having to press one button every few minutes or so is a hardship worth avoiding even if it comes with a higher mortality risk.
At this point, I feel like they should just allow looping macros if they're not going to bother enforcing people using bots to spam craft consumables 24/7.
Some gamers keyboards allow macro then that's some kind of ambiguous case. The ToS are against third part tools that change the game itself or trick it but Razer tools and Logitech tools are "fair" macro engines by themselves.

Trolling back isn't really trolling, is it? ;)
I don't know. I love Groundhog Day, but not because of the 2 main actors, since I really don't like either of them, but the story is great. I think it was Ghostbusters that destroyed him for me, and maybe Stripes. I liked both, but not because of Bill Murray, rather, contrary to him. Maybe it's because he tries so very hard to be dry, but in my eyes, falls completely through.
Number one: I did that remark a couple of hours ago, you did your's yesterday! Hello!!!
Number two: Saying that Bill Murray tries to be dry, in vain, is hardly inflammatory against US citizens!
Of course, the whole thing could be a joke as dry as the Sahara dessert, but in that case it's falling completely through (if you can express it that way in English).
Breaking TOS isn't illegal it's a private agreement between 2 parties not legally binding. Ie se only action is to cancel your account. This is different from a licensed like your os.
But yes it would be against TOS and could get your account banned.
If I remember correctly this was brought up in a live letter about a year ago. In short, its both reasons. He stated there's a bug that when you interact with an NPC while mounted the NPC starts glitching so they made it so the character auto-dismounts; he also mentioned he's aware that some people may block NPCs with large mounts which can be annoying for many players. At that point in time it didn't seem like something that would be a clear benefit to the game or players so he wasn't inclined to devote resources to fixing the bug.
Eh, when people say illegal in contexts like this, it's understood they don't mean illegal as in you'll go to jail. It's just illegal in that you can get banned. It's sorta like saying that touching the ball with your hands in soccer is illegal if you aren't the goalie. Obviously cops aren't gonna storm the field if you do so.
You won’t go to jail but you might go to gaol.
I position my current macro button on the top, mostly empty bar, then put the synth button right on top of it. Also, put a 2 second delay at the start of the macro so you don't start running commands before the synth is ready if you click the macro too soon.
Then, I just position the cursor on synth, click twice, and do something else while it completes.{
