Why all the maintenances are always on EU prime time?

Im tired of all maintenances being ever on EU prime time , i know that the server maintenances must be on japanese worktime but they can accomodate to no disturb always to EU.

It's not SE's fault they do them in generally off hours of their nation which may fall into your prime time. Blame the world for being large enough that there's multiple time zones.

This has been said over and over during the FFXI days, they're not purposefully doing it in EU prime time, they're doing it it in their offhours/early work hours, just like NA based companies do their MMO maintenance during times when most people are at work or school (if it's not down for the whole day.)

Because there are far more players from the Japanese and American time zones. Still, it would be nice to get a different schedule at least for Ragnarok since it's the EU recommended server. I suppose that would increase the work load, however.

ffxiv isn't the whole world. Whenever maintenance is, living without the game for a few hours really isn't a big deal. If it is then perhaps people are playing too much.

I'm agree with you.

quite a blind viewpoint. if they move maintance time, it end up in a different time frame, where another portion of the world will be in his primetime.

More like during NA time. 2pm to 6pm that's when I usually like playing well looks like I am not playing today.

Maintenance begin 23:00 in germany (we have now gmt+2 thanks summer time). It's a bit after prime time.

Well emergency maintenance is emergency..

Back home (England) it's midnight. I'd say it's well past prime time.

If you want to complain about maintenance being in prime time, why don't you give a nod to USA since it's 16:30 on the west coast, and 19:30 on east. I think that qualifies as prime time. . .

More like they choose times when the least amount of people are playing the game. Which just happens to be EU prime time.

I don't rly think its EU prime time..
Its something between EU and USA prime time - pretty good timing imo

Not really. They tend to wait many hours before performing emergency maintenances (often 6+ hours). They only do them immediately if it's something really serious.

That said, the last few maintenances have started 23:00 (11pm) my time, so it's not too bad for me in Norway at least.

And again on tomorrow maintenance we got FCKD again.

They could make the mantenaince in different hours everytime so every "zone" would have their prime-time down only 1 time every 3 mantenances. Simple. :P

Hardly a big deal if you ask me, there is plenty more you could be doing with your time.

I would hardly call 9-11 prime time either.

I'm in NST on the east coast of North America, and the maint usually covers from around 6pm to late enough that I have to go to sleep for work the next morning. I just deal with it... there are so many other issues SE has to deal with that I can't even imagine how overloaded they are. You have to pick your battles; don't complain over every single thing or the important things could be affected.
