So yet looking for class would be easy to play/learn yet want focus on boss + mechanics and don't want to be a support dps (kinda puts me off) but do love being ranged and quick (mobility must)

If you want to be ranged and mobile you have to make some sacrifices:
You are left with Red Mage, Bard or Machinist. Out of those 3 I'd say Red Mage is the easiest, whereas the other two are more mobile.
Machinist is the way to go. Great mobility, good DPS but you have to wait until level 50 to get it.
RDM, MCH, BRD, DNC
However, if you put some time in training dummies and a bit of runs that facilitate training in actual combat, you'll find all classes arent too difficult.
I'm not sure what excatly you mean with "easy on the hands", but if its about having to hit less buttons, I'd say MCN and possibly BRD are a less good fit. Specially MCN is being joked about to give people carpal tunnel syndrom... DCN has some "burst-phases" where there are a lot of buttons to hit in close succession but it always felt a bit more relaxed than MCN and BRD to me.
RDM might actually be the best fit for you - its easy to play, not very straining on ones hands, I'd say, its not designed as support role and thanks to the dualcast you're still quite mobile.
I main RDM as my dps class of preference. It might not be the strongest dps damage wise but it's utility is something i enjoy. I am a WHM main and I love healing so RDM's dualcast raise and heals are just too much for me to pass up. I just finished leveling machinist and I will say it's a lot of fun. Personally I enjoy it more than dancer or bard right now.
Thanks for help gone and taking my 60 to 70 now xD
I would say MCH who is very mobile and not support based even if there still is a higher number of actions per second compared to some other jobs.
If you dont want to be a support, RDM can be very tiring to play when people begin to die left and right, to the point that sometimes you become out of mana and can't even dps anymore, because the healers let you do all the rez work. Also he has less mobility than MCH because of cast times.
BRD and DNC have a high number of actions per second as well, but are more support based with their party buffs (some people can become salty if you forgot your bards song for too long). Also unlike MCH they are proc based and with them i am looking way more at my ATH, looking less at what the boss, mobs and other players are doing.
Also i find MCH easier to learn and play. Especially because there is no RNG involved and that you have to watch only at your cooldowns and jauges to launch a burst phase, while RDM, BRD and DNC are less reliable and more luck based because of all the random procs.
In short apart from the easy on the hands part, for me MCH seems like the best choice for all what you are asking for.
Currently 63 running dungeons now xD gonna def take to 70+ xD
Out of all the DPS I’ve played the easiest is no contest. Red Mage. Not a support like DNC but in a tight spot it can be
I loved RDM but thing is support DPS and that what's puts me off :(
"Easy on hands" just means less weaving.
Go THM to Lv50.
At 50 go RDM.
Decide if you like RDM, and if not, gain the extra mobility with DNC at 60.
"Support" isnt really going to be required from you, and most people wont even notice. Everything you do for "Support" is going to be something you do just to raise your own DPS, even if there was no one there with you.
Example: RDMs "Embolden" it raises other physical dmg, but it raises your damage, so even if solo, you pop it to raise your damage. The closest thing to "Support" that you cant use solo, is DNCs "Dance partner". But you're still doing this to raise your own DPS. if you could target yourself, you'd still do it to raise your own dps, as it gives you something for it.
In the end, BLM is probably the easiest on your hands, as RDM and DNC still have some weaving, and BLM has the least weaving. (but still some) but BLM is the most punishing if you make a mistake, and DNC is the most straightforward. RDM is "sorta" in the middle, but closer to DNC.
(EDIT: if you're really worried a group will ask you to raise as RDM, just say you didnt notice they died. the only content ppl would even really complain about this enough to make a big deal, is at the hardest content, where they technically do need to learn how to do the mechanics right, since there's usually a DPS check, and both u wasting time, and the DPS being weakened, hurts your chances of clearing. Also doesnt help learning the fight if they get raised up mid way)
Tried Dancer at 74 but don't like the Support DPS part and button mashing very hard for me :(
DNC is the only true "support" DPS in that a very significant portion of its contribution comes from the buffs it gives other players.
For other jobs their buffs are more like icing on the cake.
RDM probably has to push buttons the least out of all the ranged/caster classes other then BLM and retains a reasonable degree of mobility due to every other cast being instant.
They might have pain related issues with their hands like arthritis or carpal tunnel. Some jobs in this game can be rather painful to play for extended periods of time if you have a condition that affects your joints. I can't play MCH for very long for example without my hands locking up in pain, even with stabilizing tape to limit my wrist movements.
To the OP, I have arthritis myself and out of all the ranged classes the following are in order the ones that hurt my hands the least.
RDM > DNC > BLM >>> BRD > SMN (I haven't touched SMN this expansion however, but past experiences were not pleasant on my hands) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MCH
I'd check out RDM if you haven't already. It does have utility but it's easy on the hands and has pretty respectable damage.
RDM's support only comes during certain time, mainly when a lot of people (especially the healers) are down. So normally you would just DPS-ing.
And if you're looking for ranged DPS with mobility, easy to learn, no support, and no button mashing, I'd say your only option is RDM.
Yeah... Don't go MCH if you want something easy on the hands. As someone with RSI I found that job to be a bit uncomfortable at 80. RDM is a good suggestion.
Definitely Red Mage.
there really isnt much else from what ive suggested. BLM is the only other job with less button mashing than RDM/DNC really. (Outside of WAR tank)
every job except BLM and SAM have some sort of support option, and even then, BLM lowers magical dmg intake, and SAM lowers physical dmg intake for raid wide attacks that are either physical or magical. There is no job in this game that has 0 support options.
Unless you just means "High personal DPS" to which BLM is the answer, but u lack mobility. SMN has rez/raid buffs, but more mobility. RDM has similar~ mobility. Again, rez, and party buff. (but less personal DPS than SMN.) SAM has oGCDs to weave, and has a lower GCD than any caster or physical ranged, so you'll be mashing.
BRD and MCH have weaving to do, so plenty of mashing.
IDK what else you're hoping to get out of what we've brought up.
Finally counted down to BLM thanks everyone for help/support now to level it to 70 and get gear to take from 70>80
BLM has the lowest APM. RDM isn't far off and is more mobile.
To those saying MCH, they're crazy. MCH has one of the highest APM next to NIN. Those two jobs are carpal tunnel makers.
That was during stormblood lol
