Can we have upgraded color palette for in-game character customization?

I would love to have more vibrant colors to choose from for hairs, lips, tatoos, face paints and eyes.

Right now the red color we have is pretty bad, same goes for pink, "orange", ginger or green you name it. Some colors are bleached, some are too dark and others a mix of two weird colors.
A wider RGB range would be a really good thing to implement and shouldnt be too difficult to do.

Seconded, while they did us a huge favor by adding more colors recently it'd still be nice to have even more when they get the time to add them. While we're at it something akin to SWTOR or GW2's dye system would be amazing. SWTOR's would likely be easier to implement at this stage, but it'd give players a lot more options for customization.

I have always wanted a deep blue for the highlight side, and the makeup colors could definitely use some love.

Yes please, it's a little odd how my blush ends up such a vibrant red when I want something more subdued, yet my lipstick is very faded.

Agree.

I don't ask they do glowy colors as it can be in BDO (BDO is somehow the opposite, it is often too glowy) but some colors look kinda earthy/dull.

Yes please. The level of detail with the colors and customization in BDO is something this game should strive for. Eye shadow shouldn't make you look like a clown or make you look tired.

I wonder if it's possible (or, rather, if it's too hard on technical level) to implement just normal free color palette, the one you usually have in editing programms like Photoshop and such. Dyes for clothes in game can still stay as they are, but having a full freedom with colors in chracter creator would be nice. Though skin tones probably would stay out of this, since they are predetermined by race and tribe you choose. /think

I always wonder about this. It would be cool to have an RGB mixer pallette. I am sure there is a technical reason such as limitations and such. I mean even BDO is really limited in colors. I want to say FFXIV actually has a bit more choice in the number of colours for hair and skin compared to BDO online. The only thing BDO has extra is the slider for sheen of and something else.

I would love some other skin tones too. I know the ones we have are linked to the lore but would be nice to have pale options. Like really pale. Would allow for some sin eater glams

I mean, we literally have an aesthetician in the game, I'm pretty sure hair dye exists in Eorzea so 'realism' was already thrown out the window.
That said, if altering/adding colors in the CC is not much different than adding stuff like the WoD stubble *cough* or Highlander eyebrows *cough*, which we already know the devs had issues with, I'd put this in a "it's not impossible, but don't get your hopes up" category /shrug

DCUO has 24bit RBG color selectors for everything. You can enter hex values to get the exact color you want. Probably the hard part is in changing one system for another.

Reasons they might not want do it is fear that people would do things too far outside their design aesthetic; Or maybe that such an interface would be confusing or too technical for some players.

Personally I'd be for it, for anything but skin. (which wasn't part of the original suggestion anyway) The designers obviously have specific ideas of what they consider natural for the various races they created. I wouldn't mind more options though.
