Petition for Triple Triad!

Original suggestion thread here: Dear SE to kill some time...

I figure might as well make a more official title that makes the content obvious at a glance. That is all.

There was a massive thread a year ago that was replied to several times about this and many other mini games

i suggest hunting it down and giving it a read through

I think I do vaguely recall that thread...i should go hunt it down

I even made a suggestion towards the end of it and tried to include all classes :x

We turned the other thread
into a freestlye rap
because lets be honest -
the request is crap!

the idea is damn good
and totally legit
but with the current client running
there's more pressing sh*t!

I wish we could have this
a fun card game
because for most of us players
the game is getting LAME.

The devs are workin'
and slavin' to fix this junk
so sit back, relax
and join in the funk.

Well I figure if everyone gripes enough he'll reconsider. Its worked before.

All right but, how will Triple Triad work in FFXIV when there is cards like Zell and Seifer pictures on them.

edit: Oh I see. you replace the pictures with different characters.

I normally hate player-made petitions but I WANT TRIPLE TRIAD IN THIS GAME SO BAD. /sign

Exactly! You basically copy/paste the game and change the cards. You can have an Admiral Card, or a Cid card, or the Ifrit Primal card (rare drop in ifrit?), Moogle Primal card, beastmen cards, the list goes on. It'd be very very very easy to implement triple triad in this game; and lets face it, SE can't possibly create a card game as well loved as Triple triad was. Its iconic....and the nostalgia factor alone is enough to get a lot of ppl hooked. Dont know why SE insists on doing things differently all the time; if it works, keep it. Like the ATB battle gauge...its classic lol

I like Triple Triad but, I somehow doubt the Empire will like a trading card game with pictures of their generals on them lol.

Lol they could be generic generals! Plus i'd be flattered especially if they pwned. Plus cards could be refined into mats!! So much awesomeness here SE is crazy not to jump on it.

Supported. Triple Triad/Tetra Master/Similar card game must be implemented into the game. And not implemented in the terrible way that they implemented it adjacent to XI: but ACTUALLY IN THE GAME and without additional fees.

I've linked/posted/supported in the previous card game threads, and I will support any more that come along.

A card game is something that -must- happen at 2.0 or shortly after. Yes, I said MUST.

Available ideas for SE to use:

• Blank cards created by carpenters to absorb the soul of a mob when used at 25% or less health (does not kill the mob).
• Cards can be sold/traded/purchased freely between players.
• Organize and store "decks" in order for quick and optimal play.
• /cardchallenge command to duel or challenge another player.
• Special in-game events and/or scheduled tournaments (weekly/monthly/biweekly/etc) that encourage players to attend and participate in the card game

triple triad, or tetra master
so long as we can play to fame
and avoid a gaming disaster

cards that drop from mobs
and cards that drop from chests
others you can craft
npc skills you can test

what about the cards
known to be the best
they should be real hard
to get unlike the rest

If you're going to make a legit thread, should put it in the suggestion forums. I put the "To kill some time" thread here because General Discussion gets more PLAYER attention and I wanted to see who all was for the idea.
