Behemoth's meteor was too strong apparently. Anyone else have a huge lag spike on Crystal? Or any other data centers?

Theres been lag spikes on Chaos too. Sucks while playing RDM cuz you start long-casting veraero when you have a dualcast open. :(
I blame the free loaders (i mean, free login campaign) when the servers are already congested. -

I just tried to log in; saw the number waiting in the queue, and knew the servers took a dump. I just came here to confirm. I imagine the lag spikes prior made the game unplayable for those who were in. I needed the distraction this evening too. So hard to tune out the 'rona.

I think it might have been something to do with one of the server hops in between NA players and the FFXIV servers. I was running a VPN at the time and it prevented me from dcing, while my 7 party mates got booted.

Square's ISP - "NTT - Nippon Telegraph and Telephone" is the source of the problem. Their node "xe-0-1-0-1-1.r00.scrmca02.us.ce.gin.ntt.net" is taking a giant shit right now apparently. I'm getting 100% packet loss at it still. Been going on for at least an hour or two intermittently. If I had to guess the cause it would probably be because Square just announced that they're offering a free 8 days playtime for former subscribers so you have a ton of returners logging in all at once after they got off work. This is likely to continue happen this entire week too until the promotion is over.
