This Lakeland treasure map...

...took me like 30 minutes to find. The treasure map picture barely even resembles the real map. Really wish they didn't do treasure maps like this.

Sorry for mini rant but this one struck my nerves.

Honestly? While I was big on map parties in Stormblood, I don't dig the party ones in Shadowbringers. I much prefer the individual maps, and find them more fun. You'll get way more money from the party ones, though I don't find the current map dungeon compelling.

This is why I use FFXIVmaps, as they've catalogued ever possible place for a map to spawn and just tell you where they are on their site. No guess work necessary.

Yeah some of the maps are absolutely awful, even some of the group maps. Really wish they'd at least like... make the lines on it clearer, or up the contrast or something. Even comparing to a website can be tough for a couple of the Zonureskin maps xD

I remember that one, it was hard to find, but.....

....that triangle bit near the treasure map window closing icon is what I used to find the spot, as the shape and position only exists in that one spot.

That's how I found it at the end, but the dark shapes above and to the left of it really messed with me because I thought they actually was part of the map. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

That map looks identical to the area. There's weathering on it that obscures the details, particularly around the edges, but that's the same for all maps.

How am I supposed to know what is weathering and what is not. I don't do maps that often, and that little triangle was literally the only thing to go on. ._.

Or maybe it's both, and it'd be nice if the maps were just a tiny bit clearer? I mean I've had more than one party where it took all of us checking one person's map and digging through map websites to find the actual location, and boy was that a nightmare when the person was posting a low quality photo of a lower quality map from their PS4 :/

The map is made so it's hard to define what is weathered and what is not, and that's a me and not a map problem?

That map is pretty awful. Needs a more distinct feature.

A little mystery is fine but I have an easier time finding Waldo at ski lodge than I have finding which signature array of dots I am supposed to be matching this up to.

I really don't like it when I get a map for Lakeland. I once spent, and I'm not joking, two hours over one (including dragging my poor husband in to look for it as well, to no avail). Discarded it when I realised just how long I'd spent on it. Got another one at a different time, spent 15 minutes deciding what layer of hell it should be consigned to, then decided to go for the place which sort of-maybe-squintreallyhardatit looked like the map image, and got lucky. Feh, let's not go to Lakeland. 'Tis a silly place.
