What happened to the lvl 80 AF WEAPONS? Why only armour?

Okay so, in HW and SB the first step of the relic used the AF weapon you get from your job quest as a baseline, becoming shiny and/or dyeable after the first step. Later, such as in Pagos or in the following patch in HW, it became a brand new model and then we build upon that, and then later on got another new model and so on.

So STQ (Save the Queen)....What happened to our antiquated weapons we get from the tempest for completing our role quests?
We get dyeable AF ARMOUR from the ex trial, but as far as the relic weapon is concerned it jumped straight to a brand new model. This means that while you can glamour the dyeable relic armour, and dye it a completely different colour...Lets say for example, the DRK armour to white...you have no option of being able to dye the weapon that came with the set in the first place.

One friend mentioned that it wouldn't make sense for the Gunhildre weapons to be dyeable and/or shiny AF weapons, because the AF weapons were made in the 1st...Buuuut....So is the armour...and we get it from a persons memories? How does that make sense lore wise?
I get that the quest is all about reforging and making replicas of the original Gunhildr weapons...But would it of been much to ask to have another single quest that takes 10 minutes to do, where we use our lvl 80 Antiquated weapons as a base, and so we get the dyeable variant?

What gives?
We can get Idealized armour (dyeable lvl 80 AF gear) but not the equivalent, idealized weapons?

I was hoping for dyeable versions of those too. The first's af whm staff is so pretty.

Seriously, I was looking forward to dying the AF gear, but the weapon is a no show, and the armor is locked behind EX content.

I completely forgot about 5.0 AF weapons. Yeah I don't want those unique designs to go to waste. Most of them are better than Resistance's single-theme designs.

My guess? They were deliberately held back and will be available as dyeable versions during the next part of the quests.

ARR still dont have theres i wouldn't be too surprised sadly

Lionheart is one of my favourite gunblade designs, but its normal silver colour doesn't match any of my outfits, so I was looking forward to the ability to dye it.

I mean would you not argue its a valid complaint. If you can find something to complain about and its valid I do not see an issue?

OP post is not complaining about it they are just confused why the AF weapons were missed out

Until this point, every expansion AF Weapon/Job Signature Armor came out in a dyeable version soon after.

This likely will come, but not for this patch it seems.

More about confusion, I would say. We usually get the whole AF set dyeable, including both the armor and the weapon, but this time they decided to skip dyeable/glowing initial model and gave a new one from the beginning. It's not a bad decision, just a little bit suprising.

Honestly, my guess is that they're going to use them as a set of ultimate weapons since a bunch of the previous ones were or add them later to something.

Huh? This actually something genuinely questionable. We are given weathered gear and usually by now you can upgrade everything.

Anyway, I was going to say some lore reason like the are made in the First and it would confuse Gerolt or something, but then I thought how cool of a weapon that would be if it was worked on by the best smiths of two different worlds, so dunno. (Also the gear is also from the First so *shrugs*)

The Difference is that ARR never had dyeable AF weapons because AF weapons didnt exist. We only had relics there and yes some of them are dyeable.

Yes but in both HW and SB the dyeable weapon came at the same time as the dyeable armour. Now that they've completely skipped over the weapon and gone to a new model for the weapons it wouldn't make much sense for them to make our current relics we got in the quest added yesterday go back to their AF designs.

My quick buck into the mettle is that they either make a different Quaestline for AF80 weapons, or, they become part of the Lv80 Relic weapons questline.

But as i said before it wouldn't make much sense for them to revert back to the AF weapons when we've already gotten a new model, a lot of people would think that to be weird and some might be outright angry if they did that.
