Lobby Server Error

Anyone else unable to get in? Keep getting a 6001 error.

I got a 5006 error, but still unable to log in.

And the issue is resolved

Getting the error myself not going to frett it will clear up on it own or get fixed by SE whatever comes first.

I am having trouble as well with the 5006 error, and its raid night too!! T__T

Same here... error 5006... briefly got back in, but quickly got booted again, same error code.

Took 3 tries to even get to the character select screen just now, yeah.

Yeah I’m suffering the same problem to. I was able to log in this morning, but I can’t now.

I switch to the crystal data center and was able to log in through another character, but when I switched back to Aether I got the 5006 error. I think Aether data center is broken.

I think it's an NA thing as I first got the 9006 one and then the 5006. Reset my PS4 twice cause sometimes it'll also disconnect from PSN and couldn't connect to any of the NA but could connect to EU n JP data centers.

Its happening on Primal data center as well for myself and two other group-mates.

Kept getting this earlier tonight, quit trying and did something else for awhile...came back, still happening.

I'm still encountering it. Started last night. Not sure what's going on.

Same issue on this end. Can't even get to my character screen. I keep getting booted with a 5006 error and sent back to the login screen. I'm on the aether DC. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

I was getting it earlier and decided to come back later and try again. I'm still getting the 5006 error

About 12 tries later it let me sign in.

If it was happening during off-peak times, maybe. However, this is the time in the US when most people would already be home playing even if it wasn't for the restrictions. Many 2nd shift workers are likely home as well, so I won't throw out the possibility, but it just doesn't seem to be the likely case. A lot of people (especially older adults) spend newly acquired free time in productivity because they are so used to it, so people staying home doesn't necessarily mean they feel like they have more time to play FFXIV.

I got in after 3 tries, then went to change characters and got another lobby error. I'm going on 10 tried now. If this damn error didnt force me to desktop and to reenter my information I'd be less salty. Honestly this is just frustrating.

I've only become aware of this for about 5 minutes now but it took me 3 tries, almost failing that time too. The spinning wheel was longer than average. Friends/static members are taking 5+ tries.

It seems all NA data centers are having the problem..

I've been having the lobby server error since this morning. It's almost the next day and still no luck getting on. Cannot get past the main menu of the ShB logo. Even tried the data center menu trick (where you select your data center first a second time). No change. I play on PC. Friend plays on PS4 and also can't get on. We're on Aether.

I made the mistake of logging out.... =/

Similar thread on Technical Support, so it seems like it's happening to a lot of people.
The game went on sale for 40% off on Steam. Along with the Hatching-tide event, I wouldn't be surprised if we're getting higher traffic than normal.

It is 3AM CDT here. I went to reset the game because I lost my audio and now I cannot get back in. Does anyone know if this is worldwide or just NA.

Just got back in. It appears that the problem involves connecting to the Lobby server. Once in game there are no problems.

Seems to be an issue with NA datacentres; no issue with JP DCs.

I'm thinking someone needs to revise their concurrency caps for spike balancing.

As an earlier poster said, given the steam sale, likely an influx; they've been marketing pretty heavily of late as well.

I was able to get back in about 30 minutes or so after my ticket went up, lucky me! Hope everyone else escapes the bumps.
