Now let me say I do not have an issue with the idea to bring mats into diadem or even making the old crafts useless for turn ins. What I do have a problem with is this system for the nodes are SO scarce it is taking forever to get them to respawn at all. Sometimes taking up to 2-3 mins when we use to be able to run to a node in regular areas in 10-15 secs. It is completely tedious on so many levels. You will have to gather mats you do not even want to spawn nodes in a decent amount of time without flying all over the place looking.
This seems like it was 1 just made poorly with no testing, or intentionally made to waste everyone's time.

You're not supposed to stand in one island but moving through island as you gather.

That is annoying and time wasting. Not to mention any of the items that craft the 2 star items are COMPLETELY USELESS you cannot even craft them to a high collectability even with top notch fully melded gear and food.Quote:

So, I don't mind going in a full circle around the Diadem looking for nodes. In fact, I gathered quite a bit, yes its a cumbersome, but at least everything you need is pretty much in one area. My problem though is this. I'm trying to level up my crafting jobs. All of them are 50+ I decided I would work on Carpenter. Now, 2 of the items I need are Rock Salt and Maple Logs. I start off, going around and looking for Rock Salt, I have no problem locating nodes, as i'm circling the area. As I fill up my Aether Gauge, I drop down to where the mobs are below and blast a mob and get a bonus (Keep in mind that certain mobs give certain items) Cool, I got around 230 Rock Salt. I then switch over to my BTN and start to gather Maple Logs, and guess what happens, all of the nodes disappear, can't find a single node after around the 5th or 6th one. My guess is, in order to spawn them back, I have to start farming, nodes with items that I don't need, therefore filling my inventory with crap and wasting more time.
I mentioned this in the Diadem Duty I was in, and people started going off on a tangent telling me to suck it up and just farm the nodes. I tried to tell them, I DONT WANT JUNK IN MY INVENTORY!!! Even though it might not be, because I can sell it, but, I already have 5 retainers filled with stuff and my inventory is already filled up almost.
So, at this point, do I level up outside of the Ishgard Restoration and do it through Leves? or do I stick with the Diadem and pray that the nodes don't run out of the stuff I need for crafting.... -
