HUGE lag in Uldah, and every market ward section is full. Awwww...
It's rough on people who don't have a decent system. One of my friends is scarred of Ul'dah now :P.
2.0 can't come any sooner
I've dealt with lag in Uldah since day one, but my system ain't too bad, if your comp is good on watts and room, try adding some more memory and a new gpu as a quick fix (a medium-good one is like $80). But welcome to the club now, now you can bitch about market ward lag, aren't you happy? haha
It might be network or server lag?
Same location, 'quiet' time of day: See emote instantly. Busy time of day, 20 second delay.
Notice the same in some of the dungeons the day of merge.
i can say i deffinitely don't miss the empty servers at all. i absolutely love being part of a populated server and i will take every second of lag that comes with it. being stuck with lag in uldah is nothing compared to sitting in uldah and doing nothing because there is not enough people to group with.
I miss the empty pre-merge servers.
Oh, wait... >.>
Even after the merge still barely anyone looking for parties with the /search >.<
lol I love it when people say, "just wait til 2.0"
If you're system already has a hard time handling this game... don't think it's gonna be much different with 2.0. Better start working to make money or ask your mommy and daddy to buy you a real gaming PC. Not a crappy Dell or HP.
I'm lucky enough not to get lag in uldah, The only problem is getting my friends to load >.<
Even if you buy an hp or dell (some people can't build computers), if you get one with enough memory and watts you should be able to put a nice graphics card in there capable of running this game, given you have a computer made in the last 2 years or so maybe 3. But if you're computer is more than 4-5 years old trying to run this, and its not a 4-5 year old gaming pc, its time to change. 2.0 will help lower end pcs run the game, but you will be essentially running into the same lag problems, the lag problems come from loading npcs and people, the game can only load 40 people at a time, so will the ps3 version, so if you have a crappy comp, chances are you'll be on the lower end of loading people, and lag will still come out of this.
2.0 will have lowered system requirements and be better able to scale for lower systems as well, so yeah, I think it's correct when people say wait for 2.0
Wouldn't be so bad if they just linked the damn wards to all the cities. Then people would be able to stay in other cities without a large inconvenience.
Damnit SE!
Now everyone's shouting for a party! People are doing stuff and making new friends! HOW ANNOYING!!!
Can't you see that all I wanted was to sit around Ul'dah and gripe!?!? Now I have to do it in Limsa or Gridania! Those places are like, 5 minutes away! 5 MINUTES SE.
5 WHOLE MINUTES! RGHRGHRGRHGHRGRHGHGH

You were removed from the instance due to connectivity issues.
When doing a speed run in Cutter's Cry while fighting Chimera ..................
and someone somehow can't even get his/her party into the AV/CC due to the capacity of dungeon
Good , man keep it up.
The only time i get graphical "lag" in Uldah is when i run through there for the first time after logging in. Then once it loads everything into memory i guess, it's smooth as butter. But that initial run through is choppy as hell. It even causes the game to crash on occasion, most notably around the steps when running from the elevator towards the wards. I haven't noticed an increase in any of these problems since the merge though.
I don't get any network lag there. And i find it annoying when ppl blame choppy graphics on a congested network, or vice versa. It's really quite simple to discern what is to blame.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused due to the lag in Ul’dah. This issue is being investigated and will be soon resolved in the next maintenance.
We will let you know as soon as we finalize the details. ^_^
What if the solution is... "We're sorry, but access to Ul'dah has been temporarily restricted."
I miss my old ward prices ;-;
I don't miss the empty server, personally I wish we should be having this much population in every city
Wards and shouts are the primary reasons for people staying in one city right now. Wards won't be fixed until 2.0, and I'm not sure if a server wide chat could be implemented with the current structure. Or... people could always use the search stuff to find groups... god forbid.
I actually kind of like how the Ul'dah issues seem to be getting some people out of there and into the other cities. Personally, I refuse to hang out in Ul'dah all the time just because other people do it (plus I abhor the LFG shouts). Limsa is my city of choice and La Noscea is where I do most of my leveling. The city used to be almost empty, but now there are people crafting and doing things. How much of this might be just due to the server merge, I'm not sure, but, either way, it's nice to see people actually out and appreciating other areas of the game.
Hahaha, this. So many times.
The simple solution is a server wide shout.
Or even just a shout that works in the cities only.
Or a new channel.
I'm fine with city lag, because now there are people on my server.
Until they add fights in a city, I don't care about some lag in them.
I mean the lag can be pretty bad in uldah but what i do is just go to the inn in limsa lominsa then when i log back on i just go do leves from limsa or uldah depending on where i want to go, and i just do a search with the menu.
I like having more active people on the server now and I guess lucky me the lag doesnt seem any different from before. Plus, Ul'dah doesn't have to be crowded anymore with all the shouts, I just think we forget to use party search sometimes. :x
