With Y'shtola's ShB outfit now purchasable who do you think is the next npc outfit we'll get?

I'm thinking Crystal Exarch

Lyse

Zenos Coat

Once again, no love for Lyse’s red outfit and hair...probably because it’s a long hairstyle. If that’s the case, 99% chance we won’t get Ryne’s hair, just outfit maybe.

Oh wait... We already have that, it's the GNB 80 set xD

What could be interesting is Ran'jit (Especially his Dragon form) or Emet-Selch

I am hoping male characters get some love too but it is unlikely so either Ryne, Gaia or Lye's outfit
Dudes tend to get overlook in this game when it comes to unique glamour items

Hopefully somethings guys can wear.

A reworked version of Hien's outfit with higher quality textures and access to his stubble/hairstyle.

Ah I forgot about that annoying choice, I feel like Lyse will come available when she's back in the story more than she currently is right now but maybe. Kind of odd they didn't do it after Stormblood.

Who I would love: Lyse. I've wanted that dress since 4.0. Even if I can't dye it. It's cool, sexy, ala mhigan, and would look good on dancers.

What I expect: A SHB male outfit. Be it crystal exarch, emet selch's imperial outfit, or someone else.

Probably Thancred.
Hoping for Exarch.
Would be disappointed with Gaius.

Right now in the mogstation including this newly released one, there are 10 female outfits with no male equivalent and 9 male outfits with no female equivalent. Things are pretty even.

An actually dyeable version of Lyse's dress would be lovely, though failing that I'd love access to Ryne, Lyse, and Gaia's hairs.

None of the NPC outfits are unisex so if/when Exarch's outfit comes out it would most likely be male only, and for equality's sake, it should be the next in line since we just got ShB Y'shtola's today and there's really no other male option except Cid's HW outfit maybe...? either that or the next in line is Ryne/Gaia's and then we get Exarch and as unlikely as it may be I'm crossing my fingers for Zenos' new jacket cape.

By my count there are 11 male only outfits and 12 female only outfits (without equivalence) in mog station.

I'd be a bit surprised if we get the Crystal Exarch before the end of the main story arc in the first and I think they'll dealy him a good bit as his outfit might be a bit of a spoiler as the game does hold back showing him until the 5.0 story and they might want to keep his gear out of the game for a bit to keep him a bit more mysterious. I expect Lyses second outfit will be next

They'll hold off and do FFVII Remake outfits first...

And the biggest seller will probably be Cait Sith because plushie with a cat on its head... >.>

On a side note. How about Emet Selch?

The texture of his crystallized arm looks kinda crappy so I wouldn't really mind not getting it if the Exarch's outfit was next up.

Guys have: Urianger, Papalymo, Thancred v1, Cid, Thancred v2, Hildibrand, Hien, Aymeric, Gosetsu, Snow and Tidus, for a total of 10 NPC/character outfits unless I'm missing something.
Girls have: Yda, Y'shtola v1, Minfilia v1, Y'shtola v2, Lyse, Edda, Yuna, Lightning, Minfilia v2, Krile, Alma and Y'shtola v3, for a total of 12 NPC/character outfits.

Worth mentioning that while Aymeric's outfit is male only, the girls still have access to the hairstyle.

So guys have 2 hairstyles while girls have 4 (counting Krile's headpiece as one), since Aymeric's hair is available to both.
Safe to assume that at some point we'll be seeing Ryne, Gaia and Lyse's outfits being added due to popular demand, maybe even the hair.

I just wish we had some more interesting male character designs from SE because when you look at Gaia, Y'shtola, Ryne, Lyse and Edda you can easily tell a lot of people would gladly use their outfits because they just look nice, "fashionable" and glamour worthy to be interchangeable with other pieces.
But then you look a Hien, Gotetsu, Gaius, Zenos, Emet and the Exarch and you think "cool, but doesn't really work outsite it's own design, in it's own niche".

They already have another Mogstation maintance tomorrow, maybe for the fairy outfit but would be weird if they added more outfits in such a short time. I wonder what it's for.

Even if they wanted to include it, I don't think they could because of how the gear model segments work. Most likely they could only implement it by making it an all-in-one costume, or at least forcing you to equip the arms and body niece together.

Even if the crystal arm could be implemented as a separate "glove", you'd have issues. It couldn't extend past that point - they'd have to model it to show the edge where the crystal meets normal skin, and that would be visible if you wore anything with short-or-no sleeves. Even if that's fine as a stand-alone visual effect, it's probably not accurate to what the Exarch is implied to look like under his robes - it presumably continues all up his arm and across his chest to the section we can see around his neck. They can't do all that as equippable gear.

Thancred's Gunbreaker coat is somewhat unique only because the lights are a different colour. I imagine if he gets a new outfit or if his coat undergoes a few more changes it might be made available?

Depends if they'd be willing to let relic gear designs become available as all-class glamour items, but it seems unlikely as it's one of the things they've insisted on pretty specifically up to this point.

The different colours may just be for "see, it's not an exact replica of the relic gear!" purposes.

The ones you listed count to 11 lol

Personally Hien's is my favorite among the list. I think it's quite nice and fashionable (I also like the color combination). Cid's another one of my faves because it looks good on my character.
Aymeric's, Tidus', Exarch's, and Emet's are also pretty good. Zenos' and Gaius' are intricate but not really my taste.
Snow's, Gosetsu's, and Thancred's v2 are the ones that a bit meh.

But yeah I agree that it'd be nice to have more interesting male attire design. Hopefully we'll get new male NPC with unique attire in ShB relic quest later.
