So about that blood weapon qol

When you guys are adding that 1 second on blood weapon. I mean that would help greatly high ping(latency whatever you call it) players to not miss that 5th GCD window & plus increase greatly players to play this job. I mean c'mon SE we all know you enjoy quality life change! This one is like a no brainer level & it won't break the balance of tanks. ;)

Yes. Simple QoL FIX because it’s not functioning like it should... presumably. Surely among all these more massive alterations this can be tweaked.

I've been preaching for this ever since 1) ShB's implementation (to rework BW), and 2) when Bunshin was adjusted (seeing the WHAT I HOPE obvious parallel in Bunshin to BW).
It's one simple QoL change I won't back down from unless the skill/job/kit as a whole get completely redone yet again.
This change would completely remove the fact that using BW while pulling adds is bothersome because Unleash and Stalwart are spells, and thus unaffected by SkS melds, AND addresses the strange fact that BW, while the tooltip for it, Delirium, and Inner Release all say that it lasts for 10 seconds, that BW lasts for about 10.3 seconds while Del/IR last for around 10.7 to 10.8 seconds from personal testing / log reading.

I suspect the SiO buff is there for parity with Divine Veil. I guess they figured that the sacing mitigation buffs quirk wasn't being used as planned due to all the split and double tank busters in Eden.

This problem hasnt been adressed since mediatour, and i have seen multiple threads like this one over the months, if they havent fixed it already is that they explicitly do not want to touch it or the job.

No. Req gets that because you use spells during it, and Paladin doesn't slot Spell Speed. Thus that duration is to ensure that you are able to hit all 5 GCDs that they need under the buff. This is not the case for Blood Weapon and weaponskills, thus it is unnecessary. If you can't hit 5 GCDs under BW at the standard GCD (2.38) then you need to time your weave properly, because you are clearly mistiming it if that is happening.

You keep calling 2.38 standard, but it's only one of four gear sets that were recommended by the balance discord with the disclaimer that it is slightly un-optimal in exchange for a lenient BW window, with every other gear set at 2.4 or slower. Every other 10 second buff seems to have no issue, but BW is the most fickle. It needs to be put in line with the rest of the buffs, and that's why people are clamoring for this much needed QoL adjustment.

realize you =/= the entire playerbase.
not everyone will have "dA bEsT" gear. SkS tiers are variable based on player preference. GNB has HOW MANY different builds based on certain SkS tiers?

My point isnt to push for a fix "bEcAuSe Im A bAdDiE aNd CaNt PrEsS mY bUtToNs GoOd," it's to push for a QoL change to account for everyone, of every skill level, for every different skill scenario. You can counter my point about Req, but once traited cast times cease to matter, and with the costs associated with Holy [spell] into Confetior, and even Clemency, you're hard walled into 5 casts while under req. What you haven't countered is why a skill such as Bunshin can be adjusted such, but BW doesn't need a similar adjustment to it?

On top of the two above comments, let's not forget that DRK is the only tank job that has their basic GCD rotations divided into both weaponskills AND spells. So even if you did gear with extra SkS slotted to hit a comfortable weaponskill GCD time that does absolutely nothing for your spell based AoE rotation.
The only other tank that uses spells under a short duration buff where you have to fit as many as you can under said buff is PLD with Req, and they made that buff duration 12s specifically to compensate.
It's just layers of things awkwardly not lining up or fitting together sensibly.

DRK does have spells in Unleash and Stalwart Soul though. Yeah, you're literally never going to use them in a Raid scenario which is the big endgame since those spells are for dungeons, but I'd still like to see BW change to 12s or 5 charges. This would make BW actually get the full five uses in those large pulls which is more MP for Flood of Shadow and 50 Blood for Quietus. It's a buff for the casual playerbase that doesn't raid that would still help out people doing endgame raids, especially if they're stuck with poor ping and struggle to nail all 5 BW uses in the 2.42 set which isBiS for Patch 5.2 according to The Balance Discord.
